The Franciacorta Rosé 'Radijan' from Ronco Calino is surprising for its fresh and lively aromas. Pure Pinot Noir, it comes from vines about 20 years old grown in organic farming. The separate vinification for each parcel enhances the uniqueness of its profile. Fermentation takes place in steel tanks. It ages for at least 30 months on the lees and an additional 6 months after disgorgement. The bouquet evokes fresh fruity notes of raspberry, currant, and pomegranate, enriched by a floral touch of rose and hawthorn and balsamic puffs of bay leaf and eucalyptus. On the palate, it is taut and almost material, reminiscent of sour cherry and strawberry ice cream, then fading into slight menthol hints that linger in a long and balanced finish. Excellent as an aperitif, it pairs well with fish dishes or delicate meats.

Ronco Calino

In a secluded and enchanting corner of Franciacorta, protected by a hill that once inspired the great pianist Arturo Benedetti Michelangeli, lies Ronco Calino: a estate that harmoniously embodies nature, art, and a passion for wine. Here, where the sounds of the countryside blend with the contemplative silence of the vineyards, extend 10 hectares cultivated according to the principles of organic farming, the beating heart of a winery that has made quality its mission.
Founded in 1996 by Paolo Radici, a visionary entrepreneur and deep lover of wine, Ronco Calino is today synonymous with rare elegance in Franciacorta. The winery, nestled at the foot of the historic residence, is a place where time slows down, and every phase of production is marked by meticulous care, respect for nature, and artisanal patience.
The flagship grape is Chardonnay, but it is Pinot Noir that finds a surprising expression here. Except for the Satèn, this noble variety enters all cuvées, providing structure, complexity, and depth to the Franciacorta Ronco Calino. Each bottle rests on the lees well beyond the minimum times imposed by the Regulations, so that the wine can naturally develop its authentic personality.
The sugar dosage is minimal or absent, to enhance the true identity of the terroir and to value the work done in the vineyard. The result is signature sparkling wines, long-lived, harmonious, capable of telling the story of Franciacorta in a refined and modern key.

THE COMPANY

Ronco Calino is located in an extraordinary corner of Franciacorta, sheltered by the hill where the pianist Arturo Benedetti Michelangeli chose to build his residence. This oasis, surrounded by 10 hectares of organic vineyard and immersed in the sounds and colors of nature, was in 1996 a source of inspiration for Paolo Radici, a businessman in love with wine. At the foot of the residence, the winery was established: here time seems to slow down. Care, rigor, and the ability to wait are the prerequisites for creating Franciacorta, which has authenticity, elegance, and longevity as its stylistic hallmark. Among the varieties grown, Chardonnay dominates, but it is Pinot Noir that finds its ideal place. Except for the Satèn, this magnificent grape participates, in fact, in the cuvée of all the Franciacorta in the collection, which from Ronco Calino rests on the lees for at least one year longer than required by the regulations. The sugar dosage is moderate, if not absent, so that the true personality of the wine can emerge.
