Trento DOC Dosaggio Zero "Perlé Zero" 2017 Ferrari is a Trentodoc that takes the expressive purity of mountain Chardonnay to the extreme, thanks to a blend of different vintages, with no added sugar. The grapes, hand-picked from the best high-altitude vineyards, are vinified in steel – to enhance the fruit – and partly in wood, which adds structure and complexity. The long aging in glass, over 6 years on the lees, provides depth and extraordinary finesse. On the nose, it is explosive in freshness, with notes of lemon balm, aromatic herbs, lemon cream, and gypsum, which open up to pineapple and anise with oxygenation. The sip is enveloping at first, then reveals itself to be tense, dry, and salty, with hints of citrus zest and Himalayan salt. A unique and irresistible sparkling wine, ideal for those who love verticality, extreme elegance, and pure minerality.

THE COMPANY

A winery that needs no introduction, whose legend is born from the intuition of one man, Giulio Ferrari, and the dream of creating a wine in Trentino that could compete with the best French Champagnes. A true pioneer, he was the first to realize the extraordinary vocation of his land, the first to spread Chardonnay in Italy. This is how he began producing a few select bottles with an obsessive cult for quality. Wines that immediately captured the hearts of the most discerning enthusiasts who had never found such elegant, fine, and surprising sparkling wines in Italy. However, having no children, Giulio Ferrari sought a successor to whom he could entrust his dream. Among the many candidates, he chose Bruno Lunelli, owner of a famous wine shop in Trento. Thanks to his passion and entrepreneurial talent, Bruno was able, in a very short time, in the early 1950s, to increase production without ever compromising on quality, following the same path laid out by the founder. The tradition continues, and Bruno Lunelli passes his passion on to his children: under the guidance of Franco, Gino, and Mauro, Ferrari becomes a leader in Italy and the quintessential Italian toast. In these years, some of the labels destined to enter history come to light: they are the Ferrari Rosé, the Ferrari Perlé, and the Giulio Ferrari Riserva del Fondatore. Today, over a hundred years later, Ferrari is synonymous with the best Italian sparkling wines. Unique wines, true hymns to the greatness of an unparalleled winery and a territory, that of Trento, which has proven capable of offering some of the best bubbles in the world.
