The Panama Rum “Two Oaks” 12 Years Abuelo by Varela Hermanos is a traditional rum of exceptional elegance, aged using the vintage pallet method in two distinct American oak barrels. It first matures in ex-bourbon casks, which impart smoothness and notes of vanilla and caramel, then completes its aging in extra-charred virgin oak barrels, from which it gains smoky, cocoa, and toasted wood notes. The result is a spirit of great depth and complexity, with a velvety and rounded palate and a long, spicy finish.
