Brunello di Montalcino Riserva DOCG 'Poggio alle Mura' 2019 (750 ml.) Castello Banfi

The Brunello di Montalcino Riserva DOCG “Poggio alle Mura” 2019 by Castello Banfi is crafted from selected Sangiovese grapes grown in the historic vineyards surrounding the Castle of Poggio alle Mura, the estate’s most prestigious area. The 2019 vintage, marked by balanced weather conditions and slow, even ripening, delivers a wine of remarkable elegance and aromatic precision. The production process includes meticulous vinification followed by an overall ageing period of about 5 years, with 2 years in French oak barriques and extended bottle ageing, enhancing its exceptional ageing potential. The bouquet reveals ripe cherry, plum, sweet spices, tobacco and balsamic notes, while the palate is powerful yet perfectly harmonious, with silky tannins and a long, refined finish. Ideal in pairing with structured red meats, game, roasts, braised dishes and aged cheeses.
