The Châteauneuf-du-Pape Rouge AOC "Haute Pierre" 2021 by Delas comes from a balanced vintage, which allowed for slow ripening and wines of great freshness and elegance. Old vines of Grenache and Syrah, rooted in the stony soils, produced healthy and concentrated grapes, vinified using traditional methods. The wine was aged for over a year in French oak barrels of various sizes, from large foudres to pièces, blending fruit and spice. The nose shows blackberry, cherry, garrigue herbs, balsamic notes, cocoa, vanilla, and light smokiness. On the palate it is structured yet harmonious, with velvety tannins and long persistence. Ideal with lamb, game, braised meats, and aged cheeses, it has an aging potential of over ten years.

Delas Frères

From the heart of the Rhône Valley comes a story of excellence: Delas Frères. Founded in 1835 in Tournon-sur-Rhône, this historic maison has preserved its connection with the great terroirs of the Northern and Southern Rhône, interpreting them with precision and artisanal passion. Each bottle of Delas is an invitation to discover the soul of a unique land, shaped by complex soils, ideal exposures, and a climate that gives depth to reds and refinement to whites.
In the reds, Syrah dominates, the principal grape variety of the Rhône, which at Delas finds its highest expression in iconic appellations like Hermitage, Crozes-Hermitage, Cornas, Saint-Joseph, and Côte-Rôtie. The wines are distinguished by aromatic intensity, spicy notes, and an elegant structure that evolves magnificently with aging. In the whites, Marsanne and Roussanne provide complexity and freshness, delivering wines with vibrant minerality and crystalline elegance, with exceptional productions at Hermitage Blanc or Saint-Joseph Blanc.
Delas's production philosophy combines tradition and innovation: limited yields, manual harvesting, and careful vinification processes that respect the fruit and preserve its purity. The long aging in the cellar, between steel and French oak, allows the wines to develop complexity without losing harmony. This approach has made Delas one of the most appreciated signatures internationally, synonymous with balance, authenticity, and the ability to best express the character of the Rhône crus.
Choosing a Delas wine means embarking on a journey through one of France's most fascinating territories, tasting the essence of centuries of savoir-faire. Today, Delas labels are also available in Italy through selected specialized distribution channels, such as Vino45, a reference point for those seeking wines that combine history, quality, and prestige.
