The Lagrein Riserva 'Mantsch' from Colterenzio originates from an indigenous grape variety of South Tyrol, highly fragrant and with pronounced acidity. Made from pure grapes, grown in old vineyards trained as pergolas and located in Gries/Bolzano, a floodplain-sandy soil with a high percentage of porphyry; perfectly south-facing exposure. Fermentation on the skins in steel. Gentle pumping over of skins and juice for optimal color extraction. The wine ferments for 1/3 in barriques and 2/3 in 35 hl wooden vats for about 12 months. Followed by another 12 months of maturation in the bottle. The bouquet is characterized by notes of violet, cinnamon, and slight hints of vanilla. On the palate, it presents a pronounced acidity and aromas of berries and sour cherries. Perfect to accompany South Tyrolean cuisine. Excellent with roasted or grilled beef, lamb, game, and cheese.

Colterenzio

In the enchanting landscape of Trentino-Alto Adige, where the mountains touch the sky and the climate becomes a perfect ally for viticulture, lies the Colterenzio winery. A name that embodies the strength and passion of a unique cooperative, capable of bringing together local winemakers under the banner of quality and respect for the land. Here, among the vineyards climbing the slopes of the Alps, the wines come to life, telling stories of tradition and innovation.
Colterenzio stands out in the Alto Adige wine scene for its ability to enhance the climatic and varietal peculiarities of the area, producing wines that faithfully reflect the identity of the territory. The winery places particular emphasis on native and international grapes, such as the refined Gewürztraminer, the vibrant Sauvignon, and the elegant Pinot Noir, each cultivated with meticulous attention to detail.
Among the most celebrated labels, the Pinot Noir and the Sauvignon stand out, two wines that perfectly embody the spirit of Colterenzio. The Pinot Noir is distinguished by its refined structure and aromatic bouquet ranging from berries to delicate spicy notes, while the Sauvignon surprises with its intense aromas of citrus and white flowers, accompanied by exceptional freshness on the palate.
