Brunello di Montalcino DOCG 'Tenuta Greppo' 2018 (750 ml.) Biondi Santi

Born from Sangiovese Grosso “BBS11” grapes, the historic clone of Tenuta Greppo, this 2018 Brunello Biondi Santi is the result of meticulous hand-harvesting and vinification in concrete vats, followed by a long three-year ageing in Slavonian oak casks. Its aromatic profile weaves together cherry, plum, dried rose and elegant spices, supported by vibrant freshness and silky tannins. Perfect with braised meats, roasts and aged cheeses, it boasts an extraordinary ageing potential, evolving in the bottle for over 30 years and offering ever-changing emotions.

The color is a bright and transparent ruby, with garnet highlights that announce the beginning of its evolution, while maintaining a lively and inviting brilliance.

On the nose, a fine and layered bouquet emerges, in which ripe cherry and plum intertwine with delicate hints of violet and dried rose, followed by nuances of citrus zest, sweet tobacco, and elegant spices such as cinnamon and pink pepper, all supported by a balsamic note of rare freshness.

On the palate, it reveals masterful balance, with a fresh and vibrant attack complementing a harmonious structure and silky, perfectly integrated tannins. The finish is long and refined, with a return of red fruit, citrus, and sweet spices, leaving a sensation of purity and depth that underscores its vocation for longevity.
