The “Terra di Lavoro” by Galardi is an iconic wine from Southern Italy, a refined blend of Aglianico and Piedirosso, a pure expression of the most authentic Campania. Aged for 12 months in new oak barrels, it is a red of extraordinary structure, elegance, and longevity. For years, it has been celebrated by international and national critics, repeatedly recognized as the best Italian wine overall. The bouquet is wide and enveloping: red berry fruits, balsamic notes of resin, spices, and vegetal accents, with the unmistakable mineral trace typical of the volcanic terroir. On the palate, it is deep, with firm tannins, and finishes with an exceptionally long persistence. A wine for contemplation, ideal for important dishes and memorable aging.

Galardi

Hidden among the lush folds of Campania, the Galardi winery emerges as an enological jewel, jealously guarded at the foot of a now-extinct volcano. It is here, among the ancient and fertile lands of Roccamonfina, that the famous "Terra di Lavoro" comes to life, a wine that embodies the power and complexity of a unique territory. The Galardi winery, small but full of character, has made its way into the wine universe thanks to its dedication to indigenous varieties and production practices that respect the rhythm of nature.
Campania, with its mild climate and mineral-rich volcanic soils, offers an ideal environment for cultivating grapes such as Aglianico and Piedirosso. These varieties, deeply rooted in the winemaking culture of Campania, find a new expression of elegance and power at the Galardi winery. The approach to winemaking is a skillful balance between tradition and innovation, where every bunch is treated with artisanal care to maximize the characteristics of the terroir.
The "Terra di Lavoro" is the flagship of Galardi's production, a red wine of structure and complexity that captivates with its intense aromas and the depth of its flavors. Each sip tells the story of a land steeped in culture and passion, where the hand of man harmoniously blends with the strength of nature. It is a wine that invites reflection, capable of evolving over time and revealing new nuances with each taste.
Let yourself be seduced by the magic of Galardi wines, available at Vino45. An unmissable opportunity to explore a corner of Campania and discover a wine that is the result of a perfect synergy between man and landscape.

THE COMPANY
The commitment to transforming the vineyard and winemaking practices, undertaken in 1991, bore its first fruit with the 1993 harvest.
The result was a wine that, despite its youth, already showed all the expressive potential of a great wine at its debut. 1994 marks the definitive birth of "TERRA DI LAVORO".
THE PHILOSOPHY
The potential of the volcanic soil and the meeting with Riccardo Cotarella, a highly skilled winemaker particularly sensitive to the recovery and enhancement of wines from the South, led to the birth, in 1993, of Terra di Lavoro, a product that was an incredible surprise for everyone. From a close collaboration between the protagonists of this beautiful adventure, we have today transitioned to an efficient and modern structure animated by the same spirit.
THE WINERY
With a careful blend of Aglianico and Piedirosso, once called "Pere ‘e Palummo", obtained from vineyards exposed to the Southwest at an altitude of four hundred to five hundred meters above the enchanting Gulf of Gaeta, Terra di Lavoro is produced, a wine of great structure, appropriately aged in small oak barrels.
