The Beaune 'Clos des Marconnets' Premier Cru from Domaine Chanson is born from soils of clay, limestone, and pebbles typical of the denomination, in a plot located at the northern tip of the Beaune 1er Cru appellation. Elegant, fruity, and slightly spicy, this Premier Cru offers a smooth, clean, and refined sip, with pleasant fruity aromas and very fine tannins. The grapes are indeed harvested at the right degree of ripeness and processed whole in vats, then the resulting wine matures for 14-18 months in oak barrels (of which a small part is new). Perfect to drink now or to keep in the cellar for about 8-10 years from the harvest.

THE COMPANY
During the reign of Louis XV, around 1750, Simon Verry founded the winery now known as Domaine Chanson Père et Fils, one of the first winemaking realities in Burgundy to start the wine trade, which originated in Beaune during the 18th century. Over two centuries later, the Maison currently has a vineyard property of about seventy hectares, spread across the best areas classified as “premier cru”, both in Beaune and in Savigny and Pernand Vergelesses. Since 1999, the Chanson company has been part of the Bollinger Champagne group, which, pursuing a policy aimed primarily at achieving the highest quality in each wine, employs a large team of experts capable of truly maximizing the best terroirs of Burgundy and the grapes that come from them. Among the rows, there is always constant and maximum respect for the balance of environment, nature, and ecosystem, and the agronomic standards followed dedicate meticulous and obsessive care to each plant, ensuring that the grapes harvested are precious, authentic, and concentrated in every nuance. In the winery, by scrupulously monitoring every production step, the main objective is never lost sight of, aimed at enhancing everything that the season and the territory have been able to express in the fruit. This is how a range of labels is born, capable of meeting all tastes and needs. From Chablis to Puligny Montrachet, from Pommard to Bourgogne (Chardonnay and Pinot Noir above all), the bottles that refer to Domaine Chanson are synonymous with the highest winemaking excellence of Burgundy and beyond. The wines that come from the winery founded by Simon Verry can captivate from the very first sip and are able to offer emotions that few other wines can provide.
