The Lagrein Riserva Vigna Castel Ringberg 2019 Elena Walch comes from a balanced vintage that allowed slow, complete ripening. Harvested from vineyards on the sunny slopes around the family-owned castle, it ages 20 months in barriques and oak casks plus further months in bottle, reaching harmony between power and finesse. The color is deep ruby, with aromas of ripe berries, spices and cocoa alongside subtle balsamic hints. On the palate it is structured, with elegant tannins and long persistence. Perfect with braised meats, game, roasts and aged cheeses, it reflects the authentic Alto Adige character.

Elena Walch is a prominent family-run winery in South Tyrol, a flagship of Italian wine production and renowned at the international level. A promoter of quality and innovation, Elena Walch has helped lead the qualitative revolution in South Tyrol, earning great local and international recognition. An architect by profession, Elena Walch married the heir of one of the oldest winemaking families in the region, bringing new concepts of modernization to the traditional business. Today, the management of the company is entrusted to her daughters Julia and Karoline Walch, the fifth generation of the family.
The company philosophy is closely linked to its terroir: the principle is that the wines should be a unique expression of their soil, climate, and the work done in the vineyard, and that the vineyard should be cultivated according to the principles of sustainability and be passed down to future generations. The deep conviction that the quality of the wine originates in the vineyard thus brings with it the desire to work uncompromisingly, respecting the individual characteristics of each vineyard. With 60 hectares under cultivation, including the two vineyards VIGNA Castel Ringberg in Caldaro and VIGNA Kastelaz in Tramin, Elena Walch is among the most important wine personalities in South Tyrol.
The wines stand out for their character, elegance, and pronounced personality, combined with the highest level of professionalism in their production. The superb climatic conditions and the exceptional location of the estates give rise to fresh and fruity white wines, as well as concentrated and smooth red wines.
