Genesi Marsala Superiore Riserva Rubino by Pellegrino is an elegant contemporary interpretation of Marsala, produced in only 2,000 bottles from pure Nero d’Avola grapes, grown on clay soils at low altitude, near the sea. It follows the traditional production method of Marsala Rubino, with the addition of cooked must and ethyl alcohol from winemaking, to achieve a wine that is rich, deep, and expressive. It ages for 48 months in 20 hl French Allier oak barrels, where it develops an extraordinary aromatic complexity: notes of marasca, blackcurrant, blueberries, sweet spices, and light balsamic hints emerge. On the palate, it is soft yet dynamic, with silky tannins, balanced freshness, and a long and velvety finish. Perfectly paired with blue cheeses, dark chocolate, dry pastries or as a meditation wine.

Address:
Via del Fante, 39, 91025 Marsala (TP), Italy
Color: Intense deep ruby hue, shaded by garnet reflections, indicative of prolonged evolution and refinement. The texture is full and dense, revealing the wine's significant structure.
Bouquet: Wide, complex, and layered, with dominant notes of ripe red fruit (canned cherries, plum), blending with balsamic, spicy (tobacco, black pepper, licorice), and aromatic notes of noble woods, cocoa, and carob. Oxidative and ethereal nuances, typical of long aging in wood, also emerge.
Taste: Powerful, velvety, and concentrated, with a enveloping texture and perfect balance between sweetness, alcohol, and polished tannins. The oxidative component lends depth and persistence, while the savory note and slight freshness contribute to making the sip harmonious and endless.
Overall Rating: 94/100
