Champagne Rosé Vintage 2009 by Dom Pérignon enchants with its intimate and caressing character. A highly vital wine, an authentic embodiment of the fruit of the harvest. The beginning of winter 2009 was particularly harsh and the spring was warm but rainy. The climate was not favorable but the summer turned out to be sunny. The harvest began on September 12th in idyllic conditions. Initial aromas of rose and red fruits, sweetness triumphs with notes of gingerbread and liquorice. The fruit is majestic, ripe, fleshy and deep. After an initial sensation of softness and roundness, the wine opens in the heart of the palate. The power is contained and the dominant impression is coherence. The savory sensations converge and persist, leaving the memory of their tactile imprint.

THE WINE

THE HOUSE
Dom Pérignon is only rare and vintage. Each bottle is an authentic act of creation, obtained from the best Pinot Noir and Chardonnay grapes from a single harvest. Dom Pérignon reinvents itself with each vintage and refuses to compromise, giving up the creation of the Millesimato when the harvest is not up to par. It is inspired by the creative legacy of Dom Pierre Pérignon, a young Benedictine monk who in 1668 was appointed cellarman of the Abbey of Hautvillers, overlooking the vineyards of Champagne: his passion for oenological excellence led him to want to create the "best wine in the world "to serve its community and the glory of God. The Maison continues its ambition, with a tension towards the search for Harmony as a source of emotion. Each Vintage Dom Pérignon evolves gradually and, during its maturation process, it goes through moments of "Plénitude", temporal windows in which Champagne expresses new and surprising aspects of the vintage. The first Plénitude is reached after no less than eight years of elaboration in the cellar: here is Dom Pérignon Vintage and Rosé Vintage, the age Plénitude 2, which is reached after at least fifteen years of slow transformation in the cellars, is the elevation to the second life of Dom Pérignon: the expansion of Energy reaches its peak, the wine unfolds in all dimensions - wider, deeper, longer, more intense and embellished with further longevity.
