Sancerre
Sancerre Rosé: the unexpected elegance of the Loire Valley
Sancerre is not only synonymous with great whites: among the gentle hills of the Loire Valley, one of the most refined expressions of French rosé wine is also born. Made almost exclusively from Pinot Noir grapes, Sancerre Rosés are a surprising discovery for lovers of elegance and freshness, embodying the same finesse that has made the appellation famous for its whites.
Grown on limestone, marl, and siliceous soils, these rosés are the result of an exceptional terroir and viticulture that has its roots in the Middle Ages. While Sauvignon Blanc took center stage from the 19th century onwards, Pinot Noir has never ceased to be cultivated, giving rise to rosés of surprising personality.
Sancerre Rosés are distinguished by a delicate yet complex aromatic profile: on the nose, they open with fragrant notes of wild strawberry, cherry, pink grapefruit, and rose petals, accompanied by light mineral and spicy nuances. On the palate, they are striking for their vibrant freshness, impeccable balance, and a clean and persistent finish, making them ideal both for aperitifs and in combination with refined dishes.
Perfect with fish carpaccio, sushi, delicate cold cuts, fresh cheeses, and gourmet salads, Sancerre rosés are gastronomic and versatile wines, capable of enhancing every occasion with a touch of class.
Discovering our selection of Sancerre Rosé on Vino45 means being seduced by a different and intriguing vision of the Loire, made of pink hues and subtle aromas. An invitation to explore the more romantic and surprising soul of one of the most fascinating appellations in France.
