Carmenere

Carmenère vine derives from the ancient 'Vitis Biturica' of Albanian origin and brought to France by the Romans. All the Bordeaux vines seem to derive from this original vine. Carmenère is very delicate and for these reasons its cultivation has been almost completely abandoned in France, and today the country in which it is most widespread is Chile. In Italy it is found in Veneto and Friuli-Venezia Giulia, where some companies they have developed wines of excellent quality.
