Gianni Masciarelli Trebbiano d’Abruzzo DOC is the authentic expression of the most representative Abruzzese grape variety, produced with 100% Trebbiano d’Abruzzo grapes grown in the hilly vineyards of Loreto Aprutino (localities Cocciapazza and Remartello, 250 m s.l.m.). The harvest takes place at the end of September and the training system Abruzzese pergola and simple Guyot ensures healthy and ripe grapes, with a limited yield (90 q.li/ha). The wine-making and aging in stainless steel enhance freshness and typicity, resulting in a young yet structured white, with intense aromas of yellow fruit, apricot, and aromatic herbs. On the palate, it is full, savory, and persistent, ideal with white meats, seafood or lake dishes, raw appetizers, and sushi. Born in 2013, it is a tribute to the vision of Gianni Masciarelli and the richness of the Abruzzese terroir.

Masciarelli Tenute Agricole

Masciarelli Tenute Agricole is synonymous with winemaking excellence in Abruzzo. Founded in 1981 by Gianni Masciarelli, a charismatic and visionary figure, the company revolutionized the way wine is understood in Abruzzo, bringing Montepulciano and Trebbiano d’Abruzzo to international stages. With over 60 vineyards distributed across the four provinces of Abruzzo, Masciarelli cultivates a deep bond with its land, enhancing its pedoclimatic characteristics to highlight the character of each individual grape variety.
Its seven lines – from Villa Gemma to the elegant Marina Cvetic – tell a story of Abruzzo made of hills, mountains, and sea breezes, where tradition, innovation, and sustainability coexist harmoniously. The beating heart of the company is San Martino sulla Marrucina (CH), but the Castle of Semivicoli, now a charming relais, represents the refined face of Abruzzo wine tourism.
Every Masciarelli bottle is a tribute to the biodiversity of the “Green Region of Europe” and today you can discover it also on Vino45, an exclusive selection of great Italian wines. For those seeking authenticity, elegance, and a story to drink.
Address:
Via Gamberale, 2 66010 San Martino sulla Marrucina (CH), Italy
Color: bright straw yellow with golden reflections, expression of its freshness and youth.
Smell: intense and direct, opens with fruity notes of ripe apricot, yellow peach, and apple, accompanied by hints of aromatic herbs and a slight minerality that enriches the profile.
Taste: dry, full-bodied, and well-balanced, with a pronounced savoriness that enhances the fruity component. The lively acidity gives freshness and extends the final persistence, which closes with a pleasant citrus note.
- Balkan International Wine Competition and Festival: Gold medal
- Mundus Vini Spring Tasting: Gold medal
