The Collio Friulano 'Ronco delle Cime' by Venica is born at 200 meters above sea level, in the homonymous plot particularly suited for the cultivation of Tocai Friulano grapes, giving its name to one of the top wines of the company. The grapes are hand-picked. The must ferments and ages on the lees for 6 months in large wooden barrels and in steel containers. It has a wide and varied bouquet: fruity notes of pear, apple, white peach, and banana, along with herbs and wildflowers, wisteria, rose, hydrocarbons, and the uniqueness of toasted almond. On the palate, it shows the right sapidity, vibrant freshness, great body, and perfect balance. Highly structured, full, harmonious, and enveloping. Long almond-like persistence. Ideal as an aperitif, it pairs perfectly with appetizers, shellfish, and white meat dishes.

THE WINE

THE COMPANY

A story that began just under a century ago, precisely on February 6, 1930, the day Daniele Venica purchased what is now the central core of the Venica & Venica company, consisting of the farmhouse and the surrounding vineyards. Now, in the sign of a constant and harmonious generational change, Gianni, Giorgio, and Giampaolo Venica continue to fuel the deep passion and relentless love for wine, for the vineyards, and for their work. In total, there are just under forty hectares of owned vineyards, situated on some of the best hills of Dolegna, managed following ecological agronomic practices and low environmental impact. Among the rows, the plants are cared for almost obsessively, and in full respect of nature, biodiversity, and the ecosystem, they grow on soils composed of eoceanic marl and sandstone. In the cellar, method and rigor, then modernity and innovations, are combined with the most rooted traditions, giving rise to extremely well-crafted wines with a distinctive personality, capable of shining in single-varietal vinifications and beyond. Constantly following every production step, one of the basic principles of the company is never forgotten, aimed at enhancing and valuing everything that the season and the territory have been able to express in the fruit. This way, bottles are born that meet the highest quality standards, capable of telling the best of Friuli when it comes to wine. Labels that bear the name “Venica” have been an undisputed reference point of the Collio denomination for years, where the varied range of wines from Venica & Venica stands out for excellence and prestige, and above all is capable of satisfying and winning over even the most refined and demanding palates. Wines that together constitute a true enological mosaic, aromatic, deep, and precious, as well as convincing, elegant, and refined.
