The 'Löwengang' RARUM by Alois Lageder is a pure Chardonnay from Alto Adige that originates from the best plots of the Tenuta Löwengang in Magrè. Starting from the 1995 vintages, the winery began setting aside a small batch of masterpieces each year, which have now become a rich collection, the Tenuta RARUM reserve. It is spontaneously fermented in French oak barrels and left to rest for just under a year on fine lees, offering an extremely balanced sip where the freshness of the fruit perfectly harmonizes with the delicate tones provided by the oak aging. It is a textbook Chardonnay, a true masterpiece. For collectors.

THE WINE
The 'Löwengang' RARUM by Alois Lageder is a pure Chardonnay from Alto Adige that originates from the best plots of the Tenuta Löwengang in Magrè. Since the 1995 vintages, the winery has started setting aside a small batch of these masterpieces each year, now forming a rich collection, the Tenuta RARUM reserve. Allowed to spontaneously ferment in French oak barriques and left to rest for just under a year on the fine lees, it offers an extremely balanced sip, where the freshness of the fruit perfectly harmonizes with the delicate tones imparted by the wood aging. It is a textbook Chardonnay, a true masterpiece. For collectors.
THE COMPANY

A true synonym for excellence, Alois Lageder has over the years demonstrated the best that Alto Adige can offer in terms of personality, elegance, and territorial adherence. This achievement is the result of a clear vision of their work, where every activity is closely linked to others in a virtuous circle that has culminated in the biodynamic conversion of their own vineyards.
Founded in 1823 and now in its sixth generation, the company stands out for its ability to blend tradition and innovation: "quality is always the result of many details, sometimes even minimal - recalls Alois Lageder - and in all stages of processing we first try to find harmony between all the factors involved, working in harmony with nature." It is no coincidence that each wine manages, like few others in the region, to narrate the ever-changing characteristics of its vineyard of origin - indeed, Alto Adige is a land extremely rich in the variety of soils, microclimatic zones, and exposures, which thus offers ideal conditions for producing wines with pronounced individuality. The grapes harvested in the family's own vineyards, about 50 hectares between Magrè, Cortaccia, Termeno, and in the area of Lake Caldaro, are grown using organic and biodynamic methods certified by Demeter. Moreover, in addition to managing its own vineyards, the company collaborates with a number of trusted winegrowers from different areas of Alto Adige, vineyards that altogether extend for another 110 hectares, about a quarter of which are cultivated according to biodynamic principles.
It is from this extraordinary context that wines are born that are true ambassadors of the region, captivating whites and reds that form an assortment composed of three quality levels: the Classics, the Terroir Selections, the Masi.
