A true synonym of excellence, Alois Lageder over the years has demonstrated the best that Alto Adige can express in terms of personality, elegance, and territorial adherence. A result born from a clear vision of their work, where every activity is closely linked to the others in a virtuous circle that has found fulfillment in the biodynamic conversion of their vineyards.
Founded in 1823 and now in its sixth generation, the company stands out for its ability to blend tradition and innovation: "quality is always the result of many details, sometimes even minimal - recalls Alois Lageder - and in all stages of processing we first try to find harmony among all the factors involved, working in harmony with nature." It is no coincidence that each wine manages, like few others in the region, to convey the ever-changing characteristics of its vineyard of origin - Alto Adige is indeed a land extremely rich in soil variety, microclimatic zones, and exposures, thus offering ideal conditions for producing wines with marked individuality. The grapes harvested in the family's vineyards, about 50 hectares between Magrè, Cortaccia, Termeno, and in the area of Lake Caldaro, are grown with certified organic and biodynamic methods by Demeter. Moreover, beyond managing their vineyards, the company collaborates with a number of trusted winemakers from various areas of Alto Adige, with vineyards covering a further 110 hectares, about a quarter of which are cultivated according to biodynamic principles.
It is from this extraordinary context that wines are born which are true ambassadors of the territory, charming whites and reds that make up an assortment composed of three quality levels: the Classics, the Terroir Selections, the Masi.
