The Ribolla Gialla by Livio Felluga is a true icon of this region, whose native white grape variety expresses the truest and most authentic face of the Friulian lands at the border with Slovenia. It is grown in the higher areas of the hills, where the soils are stonier and poorer, in order to produce a small quantity of high-quality grapes. This fresh, slender, and delicate white wine is vinified and aged only in steel. Delicate citrus and fruity aromas, scents of orange blossom, wildflowers, aromatic herbs, and fragrant notes of apple and white-fleshed fruit. The sip expresses great mineral and citrus freshness, sapidity, and good balance. Ideal for aperitifs or with delicate fish dishes.

THE WINE
The Ribolla Gialla by Livio Felluga is a true icon of this region, whose indigenous white grape variety expresses the most genuine and authentic face of the Friulian lands at the border with Slovenia. It is cultivated in the highest areas of the hills, where the soils are stonier and poorer, in order to produce a small amount of high-quality grapes. This fresh, slender, and delicate white wine is vinified and aged only in steel. Delicate citrus and fruity aromas, scents of orange blossom, wildflowers, aromatic herbs, and fragrant notes of apple and white-fleshed fruit. The palate expresses great mineral and citrus freshness, savoriness, and good balance. Ideal for aperitifs or with delicate fish dishes.
THE COMPANY
A unique name in the Italian production landscape, as well as a symbol of a region and its wines, it is easy to understand how the story of Livio Felluga intertwines with that of an entire territory. This story features a family that survived two world wars, witnessing the changes in borders around them, before deciding to settle on the gentle foothills of Friuli. It is here, not far from Cormòns in the province of Gorizia, that Livio Felluga had to embark on a new battle to revive the hillside, convinced that only the rebirth of quality cultivation could bring life back to the Friulian countryside. With great courage, he began to restore the old vineyards and plant new ones, introducing innovative ideas and methods. A hard job, marked by determination and passion, which over the years led him to create one of the most beautiful and significant business realities in the Peninsula, earning him the title unanimously recognized as the refounder of the Friulian wine tradition.
Currently, the company boasts a vast vineyard area, ranging from the Collio denomination to that of the Colli Orientali del Friuli, covering about 155 hectares. In the vineyard, the varieties encountered are both indigenous and international, including friulano and pinot bianco, chardonnay and ribolla gialla, sauvignon blanc and pinot grigio, picolit and refosco, pignolo and merlot. Grapes that are transformed into what are now referred to as the “map wines,” always reproduced on the label depicting an old map of the company estates.
And so, here comes to life the “Vertigo,” the “Nuaré,” and the “Sharis,” followed by all the others, ending with the “Terre Alte”: wines that are the offspring of a winery that still shines today for the quality and the territorial character it manages to express, a true ambassador of the best Friulian whites - and therefore Italian - in the world.
