Barolo DOCG 'Coste di Rose' 2019 (750 ml.) Marchesi di Barolo

The Barolo DOCG Coste di Rose 2019 by Marchesi di Barolo comes from the eastern area of the commune of Barolo, on the prestigious Coste di Rose hill, defined by an east-facing exposure and steep slopes that ensure optimal ripening of Nebbiolo grapes. The marl-limestone soils rich in fossils and minerals give balance, harmony and refined aromatic expression. The highly regarded 2019 vintage delivered freshness, precision and elegance. Traditional vinification is followed by at least 18 months of ageing in oak casks of different sizes, then bottle refinement. The bouquet reveals intense rose, licorice, spices, aromatic herbs and wild mint. On the palate it is full-bodied, elegant and harmonious, with well-integrated tannins and a persistent finish. Excellent with braised meats, red meats, game, truffle dishes and aged cheeses.

Marchesi di Barolo

In the heart of the picturesque hilly landscape of the Langhe, where the morning fog envelops the rows in a silent embrace, stands the prestigious winery Marchesi di Barolo. With roots dating back to 1807, this historic winery is a pillar of the Piedmontese wine tradition, a silent witness to the transformation of Barolo into one of the most celebrated wines in the world.

Located in the namesake village of Barolo, Marchesi di Barolo skillfully cultivates the Nebbiolo grape, the beating heart of its most iconic labels. Here, the land intertwines with history, giving life to wines that are the result of a perfect balance between tradition and innovation. The winery has managed to combine ancient wisdom with modern winemaking techniques, maintaining a deep respect for the land and its peculiarities.

Among the gems of production stand out Cannubi and Sarmassa, two Barolo wines that embody the very essence of these lands. Cannubi, with its velvety tones and complexity that slowly unfolds, tells of sunlit hills and breezes that caress the vineyards. Sarmassa, on the other hand, surprises with its bold structure and intense aromas, a dance of scents that evokes the richness of the land from which it comes.

Every sip of a Marchesi di Barolo wine is an invitation to immerse yourself in the Piedmontese wine culture, a journey through the history and traditions of a unique territory.
