Alta Vista

Alta Vista is synonymous with Argentine excellence with a French soul. Founded in the 1990s by the d'Aulan family, historic Champagne producers, the winery chose Mendoza as the ideal land to create wines capable of combining European elegance with Andean power. The vineyards are located between 1,000 and 1,200 meters above sea level, in the most suitable areas of Luján de Cuyo and Valle de Uco, where the dry climate, strong temperature variations, and gravelly soils allow for slow and perfect ripening.
The production philosophy is based on enhancing the terroir: each plot is vinified separately to best express the nuances of each soil. The symbolic grape variety is Malbec, which at high altitude achieves unique color intensity, aromatic richness, and freshness. Alongside it, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, and white varieties such as Chardonnay and Torrontés complete the range, offering complex, harmonious, and long-lasting wines.
Among the most appreciated labels are the Terroir Selection Malbec, a synthesis of the best plots, and Alto, a blend of Malbec and Cabernet Sauvignon considered the qualitative pinnacle of the winery. Vinification takes place with artisanal care and cutting-edge technology, followed by aging in French oak barrels that impart structure and finesse.
Every bottle of Alta Vista is a journey between the Andes and French winemaking tradition, a perfect meeting of power and refinement. A selection of these excellences is available on Vino45, to bring home the authentic essence of Argentina in a glass.

THE COMPANY

Alta Vista stands as a symbol of Argentine excellence with a French soul. Founded in the 1990s by the d’Aulan family, historic Champagne producers, the winery chose Mendoza as its home to craft wines that blend European elegance with Andean power. The vineyards lie between 1,000 and 1,200 meters above sea level, in the prime areas of Luján de Cuyo and Valle de Uco, where the dry climate, dramatic temperature shifts, and gravelly soils ensure slow, perfect ripening.
Its philosophy revolves around enhancing the terroir: each plot is vinified separately to fully express the nuances of its soil. The flagship grape is Malbec, which at high altitude develops exceptional color intensity, aromatic richness, and freshness. Alongside it, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, and white varieties such as Chardonnay and Torrontés complete the range, delivering complex, harmonious, and age-worthy wines.
Among the most celebrated labels are Terroir Selection Malbec, the ultimate expression of the finest plots, and Alto, a Malbec–Cabernet Sauvignon blend considered the pinnacle of the winery’s quality. Vinification combines artisanal care with cutting-edge technology, followed by aging in French oak barrels to impart structure and finesse.
