Gianni Masciarelli Cerasuolo d’Abruzzo DOC is a brilliant red wine made from 100% Montepulciano grapes, grown in Loreto Aprutino in the vineyards of Cocciapazza and Remartello, at an altitude of 250 m s.l.m.. The production follows a careful process: press maceration for 4-8 hours at low temperature, then fermentation in stainless steel at controlled temperature, to preserve fragrance and aromatic intensity. In appearance, it shows a vivid cherry color, while on the nose it releases aromas of strawberry, guava, cherry, currant, and wild roses. In the mouth, it is energetic, fruity, and round, with a fresh acidity that makes it extremely gastronomic. Ideal paired with fish stews and fried fish, fresh pasta, seasonal vegetables, and pizza. A young and dynamic red, perfect for everyday dining.

Masciarelli Tenute Agricole

Masciarelli Tenute Agricole is synonymous with winemaking excellence in Abruzzo. Founded in 1981 by Gianni Masciarelli, a charismatic and visionary figure, the company revolutionized the way wine is understood in Abruzzo, bringing Montepulciano and Trebbiano d’Abruzzo to international stages. With over 60 vineyards distributed across the four provinces of Abruzzo, Masciarelli cultivates a deep bond with its land, enhancing its pedoclimatic characteristics to highlight the character of each individual grape variety.
Its seven lines – from Villa Gemma to the elegant Marina Cvetic – tell a story of Abruzzo made of hills, mountains, and sea breezes, where tradition, innovation, and sustainability coexist harmoniously. The beating heart of the company is San Martino sulla Marrucina (CH), but the Castle of Semivicoli, now a charming relais, represents the refined face of Abruzzo wine tourism.
Every Masciarelli bottle is a tribute to the biodiversity of the “Green Region of Europe” and today you can discover it also on Vino45, an exclusive selection of great Italian wines. For those seeking authenticity, elegance, and a story to drink.
Address:
Via Gamberale, 2 66010 San Martino sulla Marrucina (CH), Italy
Color: bright cherry red, lively and luminous, perfectly reflecting the identity of traditional Abruzzese Cerasuolo, halfway between an intense rosé and a light red.
Bouquet: immediate and fragrant, with intense aromas of ripe strawberry, fresh cherry, red currant, guava, and delicate floral nuances of wild rose. The aromatic ensemble is clear, direct, and seductive, capable of evoking the freshness of the fruit and a slight exotic note.
Taste: full, round, and fruity, with a soft texture supported by vibrant acidity that gives it momentum and pleasant persistence. The balance between juiciness and freshness makes the sip dynamic and inviting, perfect for everyday dining but also for more refined pairings.
