The Langhe Rosso 'Long Now' by Pelissero aims to express the concept of “long present” and is the name given by some important Californian scientists and intellectuals to the particular clock depicted on the label, which is now housed at the Science Museum in London. A red wine from a recently acquired plot, not far from the company's headquarters, resulting from a selection of nebbiolo and barbera grapes. It is left to mature for about 15/18 months in small oak barrels, then blended before bottling and allowed to rest for another 10/12 months in the bottle before being marketed. The characteristics are those of an important, austere wine, capable of providing emotions even after many years.

Pelissero

In the heart of the Langhe, a corner of Piedmont that has enchanted for centuries with its beauty and legendary wines, stands the Pelissero winery. This family-run business is a tribute to tradition and a passion for wine, passed down from generation to generation. Nestled among the hills that create a landscape of extraordinary harmony, Pelissero is dedicated with devotion to producing wines that celebrate the territory, with meticulous attention to detail and respect for the vineyard.
Specializing in the great reds of the Langhe, Pelissero is synonymous with Barbaresco, a wine that embodies the elegance and complexity of Nebbiolo, the queen grape of these lands. Alongside Nebbiolo, the vineyards of Pelissero also host Barbera and Dolcetto, varieties that enrich the enological panorama of this winery with wines that express character and authenticity.
Every bottle signed Pelissero is an invitation to discover the nuances of the territory, through wines that combine structure and finesse, with aromas that slowly reveal themselves to the nose and palate. The Barbaresco, in particular, stands out for its ability to tell stories of terroir, vintages, and skillful hands that have cared for every detail, from the vineyard to the cellar.
Let yourself be seduced by the Pelissero labels on Vino45, a journey through the timeless charm of the Langhe and the artisan mastery of a family that has made wine its reason for living.

THE WINE
The Langhe Rosso 'Long Now' by Pelissero aims to express the concept of “long present” and is the name that some important Californian scientists and intellectuals have given to the particular clock depicted on the label, which is now in the Science and Technology Museum in London. A red wine coming from a recently acquired plot, not far from the company headquarters, resulting from a selection of nebbiolo and barbera. Left to mature for about 15/18 months in small oak barrels, it is then blended before bottling and allowed to rest for another 10/12 months in the bottle before being marketed. The characteristics are those of an important, austere wine, capable of giving emotions even after many years.
THE COMPANY
Our family has always been devoted to agriculture with Langhe and peasant DNA. We are in Treiso, an independent municipality from Barbaresco since 1957, in the heart of the production area of one of the first DOCG wines in Italy, Barbaresco, the child of King Nebbiolo, the variety that more than any other has defined and will define the history of our hills and the national and international wine industry. We are children of this land and this grape variety.
The spirit of continuous research, both in the vineyard and then in the cellar, the passion, the commitment, and the innovative dynamism are our constants that unite with the pride of having now reached the third generation of vine growers. However, the philosophy has not changed: only native varieties typical of our lands, particularly Nebbiolo, Barbera, and Dolcetto, which cover 85% of our production. All the grapes we use come from our 38 hectares of owned land, and we are able, with the help of skilled collaborators, to directly oversee the entire production cycle, from pruning to the marketing of the 250,000 bottles produced annually.
