The Verona Rosso IGT 'Brolo CampoFiorin Oro' by Masi is a dry red wine, rich, velvety, and complex, born in 1964 from an intuition by Guido Boscaini. It represents a superior selection of CampoFiorin, made using the original technique inspired by Amarone, based on a second fermentation with partially dried grapes. The varieties Corvina and Rondinella, typical of the area, are enriched by Oseleta, an indigenous grape rediscovered by Masi. The long aging in small oak barrels gives the wine an international style. Defined as “Supervenetian” for its structure, it expresses a warm and intense bouquet of cooked fruit, cocoa, and vanilla, with soft tannins and a persistent finish. It is an authentic piece of history that celebrates the Venetian wine tradition.

Masi

In the heart of Veneto, where winemaking tradition intertwines with the ancient history of the region, lies the prestigious winery Masi. Always a pillar in the global wine scene, Masi has built its reputation through its mastery in producing the famous Amarone. The gentle hills of Valpolicella, with their rich soils and unique microclimate, provide the ideal cradle for cultivating Corvina and Rondinella grapes, which find their fullest expression in this territory.
The production philosophy of Masi is a perfect blend of tradition and innovation. With deep respect for the winemaking techniques passed down through generations, the winery is distinguished by its ability to reinterpret the classics with an eye towards the future. The approach is characterized by meticulous attention to every detail, from the vineyard to the bottle, with the aim of enhancing the characteristics of the territory and the native grapes.
Among the standout labels, Costasera Amarone is a true masterpiece. This iconic wine, with its intense ruby color, stands out for its impressive structure and aromatic complexity, where notes of ripe cherry, spices, and chocolate blend in perfect harmony. Each sip is a sensory journey that tells the story and passion of a winery that has made excellence its trademark.

Color: Deep ruby red, with garnet reflections. Clear and consistent.
Bouquet: Intense and complex, dominated by aromas of ripe red fruit (cherry, plum), jam, followed by evolved notes of cocoa, leather, vanilla, and sweet spices (cinnamon, cloves). The aging in oak is well integrated.
Taste: Full, soft, and enveloping. The structure is supported by silky and well-polished tannins. The balanced acidity provides freshness, while the aftertaste is long, with spicy and fruity returns. Long and satisfying persistence, with final sensations of fruit in spirit and chocolate.

THE COMPANY

Veneto is a region among the most suited from a viticultural point of view in all of Italy. A varied and multifaceted territory, always in ferment, with emerging production realities alongside historic and prestigious names. Among the latter, one cannot fail to mention the winery Masi, a family business for seven generations belonging to the Boscaini family since the late 18th century, but which today represents one of the most important and authoritative Italian wine brands in the world.
With extensive vineyards both in Italy and Argentina, where the Tupungato line gives voice to the terroir of Mendoza, the heart of the company, with the winery and the management center, remains firmly anchored to Valpolicella, the place where the entire winemaking project began. Currently managed by a well-coordinated technical team assembled in a Board of Directors chaired by Sandro Boscaini, the company, linked to the millenary Venetian civilization, has its roots in a historic heritage made up of exceptional terroirs and great indigenous grapes.
Moreover, by combining the oldest traditions with the most modern technology, the winery Masi is constantly active in research and experimentation, to the point that it has contributed to rewriting the history of drying grapes for the production of Amarone della Valpolicella DOCG, the symbolic wine of the territory, and has also been a pioneer in recovering and using ancient Veronese grape varieties that had almost disappeared, such as the Oseleta. It is precisely from the indigenous grapes of these territories, worked according to traditional winemaking techniques, that unique, majestic, and world-famous wines are born, like Amarone itself, of which Masi probably produces the most qualified and extensive range currently available on the international market, with “Mazzano” and “Costasera” Riserva always at the top of sector guides, both Italian and international.
