2007 - Amarone from the ideal vintage for the aromatic maturation of Corvina
Color: intense red with ruby red reflections
Bouquet: seductive with hints of red fruit, dried plum, and sweet spices such as cloves and cinnamon. Subsequently, hints of licorice, boxwood, thyme, and dried fruit develop
Taste: enveloping due to the soft and elegant tannins that give structure to the wine.
2008 - Amarone of rare precision
Color: intense red, with garnet hues
Bouquet: of rare precision, marked by aromas that intertwine overripe red fruit with aromatic herbs and pepper, with a subtle and little-expressed minerality.

Color: intense red, with garnet hues
Bouquet: the typical notes of dried plum, cherry, and sour cherry stand out, followed by a great variety of tones: dried fruit, tobacco, dried flowers, and sweet spices

THE WINE
Amarone Classic Bertani It is a timeless wine, an expression of a unique style that Bertani has always been followed with dedication. A classic style that doesn't need to change, because it is always current. TheAmarone It originates from Corvina and Rondinella grapes on the hills of Tenuta Novara, in the heart of Valpolicella Classic, in vineyards dedicated solely to grapes for drying. Produced from Bertani "fin" translates to "end" in English. since 1958, Amarone Classic Bertani It means. perfect harmony between time, nature, and man: to this we dedicate our know-how and our passion, with a long wait and great care. The resting of the grapes takes place on "aréle," the bamboo racks, following the traditional production method. Fermentation occurs in cement and the refinement In large barrels for at least six years, it stabilizes its structure, making it one of the longest-lived red wines in the world.
A respect for nature that means, first of all, continuing with the choice of a place like Tenuta Novara, true soul of our Amarone.
A respect for our grapes with a natural drying method or, as we prefer to say, resting in the fruit drying room, which has always rejected any form of artificial conditioning. Not for “philosophical” reasons, but out of a proven conviction that only in this way can we achieve great and unique results. Amarone, where elegance always prevails over power.
Respect for our wines to allow them to fully develop all their qualitative potential. The musts are entrusted to slow fermentations, sometimes exceeding 50 days, in cement tanks. A courageous choice, full of risks, supported by the conviction that only in this way can we achieve high levels of superior alcohol and glycerin, a guarantee of richness and elegance in aromas. Therefore, aging never lasts less than six years in Slavonian oak barrels and an additional 12 months in the bottle. A slow but precious journey to bring our wines... Amarone to develop that aromatic heritage of great elegance, those fundamental characteristics for us of extraordinary longevity.
THE COMPANY
The winery BertaniIt was founded in 1857 by the brothers Giovan Battista and Gaetano. Bertani, in Quinto di Valpantena, north of Verona. Gaetano was already an expert in the art of winemaking at that time, having learned the new techniques in France from Professor Guyot, who is still considered one of the leading experts in viticulture today. The beginning of the activity of the Bertani It coincides with the innovative spirit that drives the use of the most advanced production techniques, both in viticulture and winemaking, applied to all the properties of that time, in Valpantena and in Soave, always respecting the territory and the culture of the local crops.
High professionalism and quality, commercial initiative, and an innovative spirit were the traits that immediately distinguished the two brothers in the Veronese landscape. Bertani It was one of the first companies in Italy to understand the value of bottled wine; significant investments were made right from the start in the vineyards and in the cellar, to bottle and export Italian quality to the world with its wines. Bertani, which even before the end of the nineteenth century crossed the Atlantic Ocean to be appreciated in many cities of the United States.
The Bertani It was born with the Unification of Italy, with the desire and pride to represent the excellence of a new nation with a millenary culture. This commitment and the quality of its wines have earned it the... Bertani, In 1923, the distinctive symbol of achieving excellence: the patent of the royal house. Even though, now that Italy is a Republic, it is a faded symbol, for us it still represents the attainment of the highest quality.
The constant commitment to viticulture and oenology prompted the Academy of Agriculture, Arts, and Commerce of Verona to highlight the Bertani, in 1870, as a model agricultural company, thanks to professionalism, the introduction of specialized vineyards, and new breeding systems, which immediately characterized the entrepreneurial spirit of the family. Not only that: the quality of the wines Bertani It managed to establish itself from then on for its refinement, to the point of seeing Soave present on the menu for the coronation of George VI of England in 1937.
In the middle of the twentieth century, with the acquisition of Tenuta Novara, in Valpolicella Classical, Bertani It materializes the research of half a century to produce the "Wine," the one that is meant to last forever. It is here, in fact, that the story of the...Amarone, Wine, a symbol of the territory from which it originates, with its first vintage dating back to 1958.
With over 200 hectares of vineyards in the most suitable areas of the Veronese region, today the Bertani It is a solid company with a constant increase in distribution in Europe and around the world. There are two historic wineries, the one in Grezzana, which is the current headquarters and the beating heart of the company where the activities of winemaking, bottling, and shipping take place, and Tenuta Novare in Arbizzano di Negrar, in the heart of the Valpolicella Classic, cradle of great reds like the...Amarone and the Valpolicella Classical High School.
Icon of Italian wine in the world, the Bertani It combines the uniqueness of indigenous grape varieties with the continuous updating of production facilities and a targeted focus on the terroir.
The respect for tradition balanced by a particular innovative drive, great entrepreneurial ability at the service of maximum quality are, in summary, the guiding principles of the company, which is now also a reference point for a large national wine project called Bertani Domini.
