The Vermentino Orange Bio is the latest white wine born at Tenuta Fertuna and is characterized by its warm and complex aromatic expression, as well as its pronounced acidity and good structure. A fresh and lively wine, it best expresses the scents of the Mediterranean scrub. Manual selection of the best grapes, fermentation on the skins for 5 days. No added sulfites. Aging for 6 months in small steel tanks. Pronounced mineral character on a background of white fruity notes and delicate floral hints. Inviting fresh and balsamic suggestions. On the palate, great liveliness and freshness supported by the fullness of flavor and remarkable tactile texture, with a savory and pleasantly persistent finish.

THE COMPANY

The Tenuta extends over an area of 145 hectares.
In the heart of the Tenuta is the company complex consisting of Villa, Winery, and Storage.
The Villa was built in the early 1900s and is currently undergoing renovation.
In the modernly equipped winery, tradition and simplicity in construction are reflected.
The glued laminated timber roof provides the correct climate and insulation to carry out the winemaking operations optimally. The structure is modular, and the technological layout is well arranged, allowing access to all. The wines are produced according to traditional guidelines in a clean and effectively managed environment. Nothing is left to chance and is perfectly harmonized with the surrounding nature.
In the Tenuta, a system for recovering wastewater and rainwater is adopted, waste is managed rationally and recovered where possible to minimize environmental impact.
The agricultural storage is the place where all the modern equipment we use for efficient vineyard management is kept. State-of-the-art tractors facilitate work in the fields.
The cultivation layout of Tenuta Fertuna currently includes 50 hectares of vineyards, 10 hectares of olive groves, and 40 hectares of cereal cultivation invested in the cultivation of particular pasta varieties.

THE HISTORY

Fertuna is the realization of the production dream of a group of wine professionals with over a century of experience. Different generations and many diverse experiences have given life to this project dedicated to maturity.
The chosen name refers to the almost rarefied atmosphere that can be felt there. One senses a place suspended in time and space, permeated by a magical feeling. The name is a fusion of fertility (fertus) and luck.
Founded in 1997, the company is committed to producing wines, extra virgin IGP olive oil, and high-quality cereals. This area, once the cradle of Etruscan and then Roman civilization, has always been recognized as an ideal place to live, cultivate the land, and progress thanks to the richness of its geographical positioning.

THE TERRITORY

Tenuta Fertuna is located in the heart of the Maremma Toscana, surrounded by green hills of wild nature and vast spaces of light toward the Tyrrhenian Sea.
The place is simple and solitary, where the dominant note is given by nature, that of spontaneous vegetation and that which has been shaped, without oppression, by human hands, creating an amphitheater of vineyards.

Fertuna faces for about 1 km along the path of the "Antica Via Aurelia," traced by the Romans since the 3rd century B.C., a work that allowed Rome to establish and consolidate its dominance.
The Gulf of Follonica, Castiglione della Pescaia, and Punta Ala complete this dreamlike context.
