Armagnac AOC 'Tradition' (700 ml. wooden box) Chevalier d'Espalet

Armagnac Chevalier d’Espalet Tradition represents the authentic expression of the oldest eau-de-vie in France, documented since 1310. Protected by the AOC, it is produced exclusively in Gascony from the distillation of Ugni Blanc, Colombard, Folle Blanche, and Baco Blanc grapes in a traditional continuous column Armagnac still. Made by the Maison Janneau, one of the region’s most prestigious houses, it is among the few Armagnacs distilled, aged, and bottled entirely within the area of origin. After distillation, it matures for a minimum of 4 years in oak barrels, gaining a light amber color and aromas of ripe fruit and vanilla. On the palate, it is smooth, with honeyed and sugary notes, finishing with a warm and lingering aftertaste. The true French Armagnac for an elegant after-dinner moment.

Chevalier d'Espalet

Chevalier d’Espalet is the true French Armagnac, a symbol of authenticity and excellence from Gascony. It originates from the historic Maison Janneau, founded in 1851 in Condom by Pierre Etienne Janneau. For over a century and a half, this house has been one of the most respected Armagnac producers, preserving a heritage of traditions and craftsmanship passed down through generations. Maison Janneau is among the few to control the entire production process, from distillation to maturation and bottling, all carried out within the original region under the Appellation Armagnac Contrôlée regulations.

Distillation follows the classic methods of the region, combining the continuous Armagnac still and double distillation to achieve a complex, deep spirit. The finest crus from Bas Armagnac and Ténarèze are carefully selected to create a blend of great finesse, uniting structure, elegance, and softness. Aging in French oak barrels, some decades old, imparts hints of vanilla, spices, and dried fruit, balancing the spirit’s strength with the wood’s sweetness.

Chevalier d’Espalet is a tribute to time and tradition, a symbol of elegance and character, designed for those seeking an authentic and refined experience.
