The 'Grigio in Grigio' 2020 by Bressan Venezia Giulia IGT is made from Pinot Grigio grapes grown in the vineyards of Corona in Mariano del Friuli. With its warm copper hue, it reflects artisanal roots and the ancient traditions of the region. A careful vinification and 12–15 months in steel give it intensity, brilliance, and rare aromatic depth. The bouquet reveals ripe fruit, white flowers, dry hay, walnut husk, toasted almonds, and mineral hints. On the palate it is full, structured, elegant, with gentle tannins and balanced freshness. Perfect with grilled fish, shellfish, seafood risotto, and white meats, also excellent with spiced dishes due to its persistence.

Bressan

Nestled in the heart of Friuli-Venezia Giulia, the winery Bressan is a stronghold of authenticity and winemaking tradition. Here, where the gentle hills blend with the fresh breezes of the Adriatic, grapes are passionately cultivated, telling the story of a generous and mysterious land. The IGT Venezia Giulia designation is the stage on which Bressan showcases its wine spectacle, a sensory journey rooted in ancient practices and uncompromising methods.
The production philosophy of Bressan is a hymn to nature and craftsmanship. Each glass is the result of a process that respects the natural cycle, where the hand of man guides wisely and sensitively. The grapes, including the distinctive Schioppettino and the refined Pinot Grigio, are cultivated using traditional methods, without invasive interventions, to preserve the essence of the terroir and the purity of varietal expression.
The wines of Bressan are a symphony of character and complexity. Their Schioppettino stands out for its bold personality, with spicy notes and a robust body that envelops the senses in an engaging embrace. On the other hand, the Pinot Noir from Bressan offers a more delicate yet equally intriguing experience, with its aromas of red fruits and a refined structure that enchants with every sip.

THE COMPANY

Fulvio Bressan is an unconventional winemaker from Friuli who categorically rejects the passing and homogenizing trends that fill the wine world, proudly following a niche production vision aimed at offering the truest wine manifestation of the Isonzo territory. The ancient winemaking roots of the Bressan family date back to the 18th century, while the recent recognition is due to Fulvio L. Bressan, the ninth generation of "master winemakers" and current owner, who has the merit of leading the winery in Farra d'Isonzo to worldwide acclaim. For the estate's logo, the Bressan family has adopted the family crest, which features the ankh cross at its center.
Within the approximately 20 hectares of vineyards owned, on soils made up of layers of gravel laid over clay and sandstone marls, Fulvio Bressan cultivates both native and international varieties such as Friulano, Verduzzo, Ribolla Gialla, Istrian Malvasia, Schioppettino, Pignolo, Moscato Rosa, Pinot Grigio, Pinot Nero, and Cabernet Sauvignon. The plants are cultivated according to truly sustainable and conscientious viticulture, which excludes the use of synthetic chemicals and involves manual agricultural operations, respecting the natural cycle of the vine. Harvesting is carried out only when the grapes have reached full ripeness and is followed by spontaneous alcoholic fermentation of the musts in stainless steel tanks, in contact with the skins even for white grapes. The wine containers used for aging include stainless steel tanks and wooden barrels of various sizes and types, where the wines remain to mature for a long time on the fine lees until bottling, which is done without any prior filtration.
The wines from the Bressan winery are true gems of artisanal Friulian winemaking, endowed with exemplary typicity stemming from a solid peasant culture. From orange wines to red wines, including the peculiar 'Rosantico', Fulvio Bressan's labels stand as unique expressions that reflect the strong personality of their creator.
