Toscana Rosso IGT 'Sassoalloro' 2023 (750 ml.) Jacopo Biondi Santi

The Toscana Rosso 'Sassoalloro' by Tenuta Castello di Montepò, owned by Jacopo Biondi Santi, is a red wine of great charm that tells the entire vision of the winery since its first harvest. A Sangiovese that has been selected from the historic family estate where the famous Brunello di Montalcino is produced, and which has been planted in this wonderful corner of Tuscany, not far from Scansano. Vinified in steel, it matures for just over a year in barrique before an additional aging in the bottle. Deep fruity and spicy aromas, with notes of cherry and raspberry, followed by balsamic and herbal notes. Soft and elegant, fresh with well-integrated tannins in a solid structure. An elegant red wine with a definite territorial adherence, suitable for any occasion.

Jacopo Biondi Santi

Set in the picturesque landscape of the Tuscan Maremma, the winery Jacopo Biondi Santi represents a bridge between history and winemaking innovation. Heir to a legendary winemaking tradition, Jacopo Biondi Santi has managed to imprint his distinctive mark, combining respect for family heritage with a modern and enterprising approach. The winery is located in one of the most fascinating areas of Tuscany, known for its wild beauty and ability to produce wines with a strong personality.

In this sun-kissed land, the Sangiovese and Cabernet Sauvignon vineyards find the ideal habitat to express their full potential. The IGT Toscana designation allows for a certain stylistic freedom, which Jacopo Biondi Santi leverages to create wines that tell stories of passion and commitment. The production philosophy here is a wise balance between tradition and innovation, where modern techniques merge with the wisdom of the past to create wines that are authentic works of art.

Among the main labels, the Sassoalloro and Schidione stand out, each with a unique and unmistakable character. The Sassoalloro, elegant and refined, seduces with its complex aromas and velvety structure, while the Schidione offers an intense tasting experience, combining the power of Cabernet Sauvignon with the finesse of Sangiovese. Each sip is a celebration of the Maremma, capable of evoking images of golden hills and sea breezes.
