Chianti Classico Riserva DOCG 'Tenuta Perano' 2020 (750 ml.) Frescobaldi

Born from vineyards located at 500 meters above sea level in the heart of Gaiole in Chianti, the Chianti Classico Riserva 'Tenuta Perano' by Frescobaldi expresses the power and elegance of a unique terroir. Predominantly Sangiovese grapes, with small additions of native varieties, are grown on rocky, well-drained soils and harvested by hand to ensure optimal selection. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel vats, followed by a long maceration to extract structure and complexity. The wine is then aged in oak barrels for at least 24 months, followed by further bottle refinement. In the glass, it shows a deep ruby red color. The nose reveals ripe cherry, violet, licorice, and toasted spice notes. On the palate, it is structured and enveloping, with silky tannins and a long, harmonious finish. An outstanding Riserva, ideal with roasted meats, game, and aged cheeses.

Nestled in the wonderful Tuscan lands, where time seems to have stopped to celebrate the beauty of nature and winemaking art, the winery Frescobaldi tells a story that spans generations. It is one of the oldest wine families in Italy, with roots that dig deep into a past rich in tradition and innovation. With a presence that embraces the most prestigious denominations of Tuscany, such as DOCG Chianti, Brunello, and Bolgheri, Frescobaldi stands out for a modern approach that never forgets to respect the history and the terroir that surrounds it.

The estates of Frescobaldi are a mosaic of winemaking excellence, where each vineyard is nurtured with dedication and love for the land. Here, under the warm Tuscan sun, Sangiovese, Merlot, and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes are born, each an expression of a unique territory and unparalleled savoir-faire. The production philosophy of Frescobaldi is a perfect balance between tradition and innovation, where ancient wisdom blends with the most modern winemaking techniques to create wines with distinctive and unmistakable character.

Among the labels that make up the prestigious portfolio of Frescobaldi, the Nipozzano and CastelGiocondo stand out, two wines that embody the essence of Tuscany. The Nipozzano, with its enveloping structure and intense aromas, is the perfect companion for those wishing to explore the depth of Tuscan wines. The CastelGiocondo, on the other hand, is a Brunello di Montalcino with a refined and complex character, capable of narrating, sip by sip, the magic of a legendary territory.
