The Tawny Port 10 Years Old from Quinta Do Noval is made from the best blends of grapes from the Douro Valley. It is the result of Antònio Agrellos' art of aging vintages in old oak barrels and then harmoniously blending them into a wine that represents the historical memory of the winery. As an aged Tawny, it carries an age indication that reflects the average duration of the aging of the wines in the blend. The sensitive tasting of the winemaker, able to recognize the style of a given blend (made up of dozens of wines), will determine a 10, 20, 30, or 40 year old Tawny. This 10 Years Old is recognizable for its brightness and its complex aromas of young and dried fruit. Rich and smooth on the palate, it offers an elegant structure and a long, persistent finish.

THE WINE
The Porto Tawny 10 Years Old from Quinta Do Noval is made from the best blends of grapes from the Douro Valley. It is born from the art of Antònio Agrellos in aging the vintages in old oak barrels and then harmoniously blending them into a wine that represents the historical memory of the winery. As an aged Tawny, it carries an age indication that reflects the average aging duration of the wines in the blend. The sensitive tasting ability of the winemaker, who can recognize the style of a given blend (made up of dozens of wines), will define a 10, 20, 30, or 40 year old Tawny. This 10 Years Old is recognizable for its brightness and complex aromas of young and dried fruit. Rich and soft on the palate, it offers an elegant structure and a long persistent finish.
THE COMPANY

Recognized worldwide for its Ports, Quinta do Noval produces great wines that bear the imprint of their terroir. Reclaiming its historic place among the major Port Houses, after the difficulties experienced in the late 70s and 80s, there are many reasons why, at different times, the company Quinta do Noval has been and continues to be one of the most pioneering realities in the region. The subtle differences in climates and soils of the various plots of this extensive estate give the wines of Noval a unique complexity and depth, both in Ports and in red and non-fortified white wines. Here are some of the characteristics that distinguish it: the adoption of sloping terraces (socalcos the controversial invention of the Late Bottled Vintage type; the marketing of the first Tawny with the indication on the label of the average aging of the wines that form the blend; the gradual relocation of the entire winery from Vila Nova de Gaia to the heart of the Douro Valley, as soon as this became legal, in 1986. The team at Quinta do Noval is passionately committed to preserving the terroirs of this exceptional estate.
