The Champagne Grand Reserve Brut from Château de Bligny is a blend of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir in equal parts. Château de Bligny is the only one to benefit from the title of Château in the Champagne region as a producer of viticulture. A 30-hectare estate where the vines are distributed over 8 plots, including a Clos that cultivates all seven traditional varieties of the region. It ages for 4 years on the lees. On the palate, it has a broad texture, very fleshy fruit, combined with a natural richness. The yellow fruit is very colorful, and the wet density increases. Champagne with autumn notes that then shifts to yellow stone fruits. It hides some flavors of cumin and chili, and the finish shows its fine acidity.

Château de Bligny

In the heart of the most celebrated region for sparkling wines, Champagne, stands the Château de Bligny with majestic elegance. This castle is not just an architectural symbol, but a true temple of wine, one of the few in Champagne where winemaking takes place entirely on-site. Surrounded by vineyards that stretch as far as the eye can see, the Château de Bligny passionately and skillfully dedicates itself to the art of Négociant-manipulant, an approach that combines tradition and innovation to create champagnes of rare refinement.
Its vines, caressed by the breeze of this unique land, are cultivated with wisdom and dedication, and host the noble grapes of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. These varieties, nourished by a rich and varied terroir, give life to champagnes that seduce the senses and fascinate the soul. Among its most emblematic creations, the Cuvée 6 Cépages stands out for its complexity and harmony, a winemaking masterpiece that embodies the very essence of Château de Bligny. Refined and complex, this cuvée is a sensory journey that traverses fruity, floral, and toasted notes, offering a tasting experience that evokes the elegance and history of this legendary region.

Champagne with autumn notes that then shifts to yellow stone fruits. It hides some flavors of cumin and chili, and the finish reveals its fine acidity.
THE MAISON

The Rapeneau family, after acquiring the castle, decided in 2004 to plant a vineyard surrounded by walls, following the traditional idea of the “Clos.” To create a well-rounded connection with the territory, they decided to plant the six symbol varieties of Champagne: the classic Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, and Pinot Meunier, along with the “forgotten” grape varieties: Arbanne, Pinot Bianco, and Petit Meslier. While the three traditional grape varieties bring familiar sensations, the other three grapes add unique notes to the cuvée: Arbanne (formerly widespread in Aube) imparts aromas and freshness, Pinot Bianco provides brightness and structure, and finally, Petit Meslier offers aromas of lime and violet. The Rapeneau family's desire is to highlight each individual variety, engaging with the art of blending, the keystone of the Champagne concept.
