Krug Rosé is an unexpected rosé Champagne that combines elegance and boldness; it is inspired by the dream of the fifth generation of the Maison Krug to create a rosé Champagne that did not exist before and that reinvents itself every year, revealing a new face. The 27th Edition is a blend of 38 wines from 9 different vintages, the youngest of which dates back to 2015 while the oldest is from 2005. It also consists of an additional 10% of traditionally macerated Pinot Noir from the vintage, sourced from the blend of plots in Aÿ and Mareuil-sur-Aÿ, which brings spicy notes, color, and structure. The resting period of about seven years in the cellars of Krug gives the Krug Rosé 27th Edition a unique expression and elegance.

Krug

In the heart of the Champagne region, in France, stands the majestic Maison Krug, a name that evokes timeless luxury and refinement. Founded in 1843, Krug has been synonymous with excellence from the very beginning, a winery that has cultivated an unparalleled reputation thanks to its ability to create Champagne of rare power and complexity. Krug's philosophy is rooted in the belief that every bottle should represent the pinnacle of sparkling wine artistry, a sensory journey where every nuance is a tribute to tradition and innovation.
In Krug's vineyards, the harmony between the varieties of grapes cultivated is fundamental to the distinctive character of their Champagne. Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, and Pinot Meunier are selected with meticulous care to create wines that strongly express the personality of the Champagne terroir. The Grande Cuvée, emblem of the Maison, is a celebration of over 120 wines from ten or more different vintages, a mosaic of aromas and flavors that evolves into a symphony of elegance and depth. On the other hand, the Clos du Mesnil enhances the purity of Chardonnay, offering an experience of extraordinary longevity and finesse.
Every sip of Krug is an invitation to discover the mastery of a savoir-faire passed down from generation to generation. Indulge in the pleasure of exploring the prestigious Krug labels on Vino45, and let yourself be transported into a world of sparkling excellence, where every glass is a work of art that tells the story of a passion without boundaries.

THE WINE
Krug Rosé is an unexpected rosé Champagne, combining elegance and boldness; it is inspired by the dream of the fifth generation of the Krug Maison to create a rosé Champagne that had never existed before and that would reinvent itself each year revealing a new face. The 27th Edition is a blend of 38 wines from 9 different vintages, the youngest of which dates back to 2015 and the oldest to 2005. It also includes an additional 10% of Pinot Noir from the vintage, traditionally macerated, from the blending of plots from Aÿ and Mareuil-sur-Aÿ, which adds spicy notes, color, and structure. The resting period of about seven years in the Krug cellars gives the Krug Rosé 27th Edition a unique expression and elegance.
Krug Rosé 27th Edition is the result of combining terroir wines from the year with reserve wines from 8 other vintages. The red Pinot Noir from the year from the plots of Aÿ and Mareuil-sur-Aÿ completes the creation, providing structure, color, and liveliness. This dream is recreated for the 27th time. Overall, the reserve wines from the Maison's extensive collection make up 55% of the final blend of this edition of Krug Rosé.
THE MAISON

It all began in 1834, when the young Joseph Krug, a visionary nonconformist, just arrived in France from his native Germany, started working in the cellars of Jacquesson. An experience that in a few years allowed him to have a precise idea of Champagne, leading him shortly after, in 1843 to be exact, to found his own Maison with the aim of producing Champagnes that would stand out not only for their absolute quality but also for a well-defined, always recognizable personality.
This is the story of a determined man, driven by a philosophy that did not allow for compromises, who first understood that the essence of Champagne is, above all, the pleasure itself. A person, Joseph Krug, who wanted to offer his customers the utmost pleasure every year, regardless of the climatic differences that each season and each harvest brought. The Krug style was immediately expressed through careful aging in large oak casks, thanks to prolonged contact with the yeasts. A style that has been passed down from father to son for centuries and remains wonderfully unchanged today.
Since 1999, the Maison has been part of the luxury group LVMH, but the approach remains the same, as in the beginning, unconventional, aimed at enhancing the individuality of each single vineyard plot, in prestige cuvées that are renewed each year, in the name of continuity.
And so, in addition to Krug Rosé and the Vintage wines, there is Krug Brut “Grande Cuvée”, to mention what is the icon of the Maison, namely a Champagne that comes from 250 different vineyards and includes as many as 150 reserve wines, some of which are aged up to 15 years. A meticulous savoir-faire that leads to the creation of unique wines, unrepeatable Champagnes, extraordinary cuvées.
