THE WINE
The Champagne Brut Rosé by Ruinart comes from a unique balance of Premier Cru Chardonnay grapes, the emblematic grape of the Maison, and red vinified Pinot Noir. The freshness of the former is enhanced by the fullness of the latter. Between 20 to 25% of reserve wines from the two previous vintages are included. While maintaining an elegant and refined style, it is suitable to accompany land and sea appetizers, as well as delicate white meats. It is also excellent enjoyed throughout the meal.
THE MAISON

At the origin of it all, we find the name of the Benedictine monk Dom Thierry Ruinart, who lived between the 17th and 18th centuries, a theologian and historian, but above all a brilliant, intuitive, and visionary person, who at just 23 years old, hearing about a new wine not yet called "Champagne" but particularly popular among Parisian aristocrats, understood that what was then identified as “vin de bulles,” or wine with bubbles, would have a great future. This marked the beginning of the story of what is the oldest Maison in the Champagne region. A story that officially began on September 1, 1729, when Nicolas Ruinart, 33 years old, a drapery merchant in Reims like his father and the nephew of Dom Thierry Ruinart, opened his first accounting ledger dedicated precisely to “vin de bulles.” The first bottles were destined for his traditional customers as gifts after purchasing fabrics and textiles. But Nicolas was a shrewd and refined businessman, endowed with the same pioneering vision as his uncle Thierry Ruinart. History proved him right: only six years later, the family abandoned the textile trade to focus on Champagne. The Maison grew rapidly: from 170 bottles sold in 1730 to over 36,000 in 1761, eventually achieving definitive recognition during the 19th century. A style based on Chardonnay and its elegance, without ever losing sight of density and volume. Whether they are Champagne Brut, Champagne Blanc de Blancs, or Champagne Rosé, all Champagnes branded Ruinart are unique and easily recognizable, characterized by an unmatched purity, and are absolutely worth every penny they cost. Acquired in 1963 by Moët et Chandon, now part of the largest group LVMH, the Ruinart brand continues to be undeniably synonymous with the best and most excellent Champagnes.
