Groppello

Groppello is a native Lombard grape variety, primarily cultivated on the morainic hills of Valtenesi, in the western area of Lake Garda. The name derives from "groppo," meaning knot, due to the compact shape of the cluster. It is a rare and precious grape variety, a symbol of Brescia's winemaking. It is used to produce light red and elegant rosé wines (such as the famous Chiaretto). The grapes, hand-harvested, are vinified at controlled temperatures to preserve their aromas. The result is a fresh, savory wine, with hints of red fruits, delicate spices, and almond.

Groppello is also featured in the Vino45 selection, which promotes unique and sustainable grape varieties: a quality choice that tells the story of the territory, craftsmanship, and Italian biodiversity.
