La Sibilla

In the enchanting and mysterious heart of the Campi Flegrei, land of dormant volcanoes and ancient myths, stands the winery La Sibilla, guardian of a winemaking tradition that has its roots in the very history of this territory. Here, in an area where the volcanic soil gives the vines a unique and unmistakable character, the Di Meo family passionately and dedicatedly cultivates the indigenous grape varieties of the region. The Falanghina and Piedirosso, undisputed protagonists of these lands, find their ideal habitat in the volcanic soils, expressing in the wines a freshness and sapidity that evoke the breath of the Mediterranean.
The production philosophy of La Sibilla is a tribute to tradition and nature, a balance between respect for the past and conscious innovation. Each bottle is the result of meticulous work and an unconditional love for the territory, which manifests itself in the choice to enhance local grape varieties and sustainable agricultural practices. This approach allows for the creation of wines that tell stories of land and sea, of wind and sun, of an authentic and generous Campania.
Among the main labels, "Cruna deLago" gracefully stands out, a wine that carries the very essence of the Campi Flegrei. Its organoleptic notes speak of freshness and minerality, of floral and fruity aromas that dance together in perfect harmony. It is a wine that invites you to dream, to travel with your thoughts through the breathtaking landscapes of this enchanted land.
Let yourself be seduced by the magic of the Campi Flegrei through the wines of La Sibilla, available on Vino45. A sensory experience that will lead you to discover the authentic and timeless beauty of a territory rich in history and unforgettable flavors.

THE WINE
The Falanghina from La Sibilla is made entirely from Falanghina grapes, harvested and selected exclusively by hand. This ancient grape variety of Greek origin has found its natural habitat in the Campi Flegrei area thanks to the volcanic soil. The result is a fresh wine with a pronounced minerality. THE COMPANY
The company La Sibilla is located in the province of Naples, in the heart of the Campi Flegrei and a short distance from the Cave of the Sibilla Cumana. This wine-producing reality owes its origins to the Di Meo family, particularly to one of its ancestors, who over a hundred years ago decided to move here and start cultivating vines. Today La Sibilla has about 10 hectares of vineyards; in the vineyards, there are century-old indigenous vines of Falanghina and Piedirosso, traditionally supported by chestnut poles, and still in full production today. The Di Meo family, custodians of a wine heritage passed down through generations, cultivates its vineyards driven by a passion for the land and its products; moreover, for the past two years, Vincenzo Di Meo, a globe-trotting winemaker currently leading the company, has also started to recover additional indigenous grape varieties such as ‘a livella, ‘a surcella, and 'a marsigliese: the primary goal is always to produce wines with the flavor and taste of the past, making ancient traditions alongside modern technologies the protagonists. The vines, grown in sandy volcanic soils immune to phylloxera, are a true living museum. Divided into two main bodies, the first next to the winery and the second near the Roman villa, known as Villa di Cesare, in the WWF nature reserve, they produce excellent wines with unique characteristics, preserving the territory and sometimes saving it from abandonment and illegal activities. By following the vocation of the territory and loving the work in the vineyard, La Sibilla produces wines with a strong personality, to be appreciated precisely because they are never the same as each other, except in quality. Always fresh, fragrant, and wonderfully expressive, these wines are the best possible ambassadors of a territory still to be discovered where only traditions, seasonality, values, and knowledge give rhythm to life.
