Botran

In the heart of Guatemala, where the mountains rise majestically against the sky and the wind carries the sweet scent of sugar cane, lies the historic house Botran. A name that resonates among spirits enthusiasts, Botran is synonymous with quality and tradition in the world of rum. The origins of this distillery date back many years, when the Botran family decided to cultivate sugar cane in the fertile Guatemalan lands, leveraging a unique terroir to create spirits of rare elegance.
In a territory where nature reigns supreme, Botran has managed to establish a deep connection with the environment, refining a production philosophy that enhances the characteristics of local sugar cane. Botran rums are known for their aging process at high altitudes, where the cool temperatures and pure mountain air impart an inimitable aromatic complexity to the spirits. Tradition and innovation blend in every bottle, giving life to rums that are sweet, spicy, and perfectly balanced.
Among the most famous labels stands out Ron Botran Añejo, a spirit that tells a story of craftsmanship and passion. Each sip is a sensory journey through notes of caramel, vanilla, and spices, revealing layers of flavors that dance on the palate with grace and intensity. It is a rum that celebrates the richness of Guatemala, a tribute to the roots and mastery of a family that has dedicated its life to the art of distillation.

THE DISTILLERY
The Botran family is commonly known for producing sugarcane in Guatemala, but in 1939 they decided to embark on a journey by establishing Industria Licorera Quetzalteca. The five brothers agreed that the best place to age rum in Guatemala was Quetzaltenango. Since that day, they have been involved in all the details regarding their rum production. Although the nurturing process has evolved, it all started with the care process called "Sistema Solera." This process involves the integration of young and old rum, as they mellow for years in white oak barrels. They are the first family to produce Guatemalan rum, and today they continue to produce one of the best rums in the world. The high-quality rums Solera 1893 and Reserva have won numerous awards worldwide for their complexity, depth, and distinctive flavor.
