Primitivo di Manduria DOP 'Sessantanni' 2019 (750 ml.) San Marzano

The Primitivo di Manduria 'Sessantanni' from San Marzano is the iconic wine of the winery, representing its philosophy and work. It is the label that has changed the perception of Apulian wines around the world. It is born in the Sessantanni valley, about 40 hectares between San Marzano and Sava (TA) from bush-trained Primitivo vines that are at least 60 years old, cultivated in red soil rich in iron oxides. Harvested at a slightly overripe state, it ages in French and American oak barrels for 12 months. A broad and complex wine, fruity with notes of plums, cherry jam, light spiciness, and hints of tobacco. It has great body, is soft and rich in noble tannins, with a finish that offers notes of cocoa, coffee, and vaniglia.Ottimo when paired with red meats, game, and hearty first courses.
