The Toscana Rosso 'Lucente' by Tenuta Luce is the result of a careful selection of vineyards from the Tenuta, chosen for their particular suitability for producing a wine with a fruity profile and great pleasantness. Like 'Luce', it is born from the union of Sangiovese and Merlot, with the latter prevailing in the blend. A soft, rich, and fragrant Tuscan red, aged for 15 months in barrique. It emanates scents of black fruit, berry jam, and sweet spices. The taste is round, energetic, and seductive, with body and structure, featuring an elegant and velvety tannic texture.

Tenuta Luce

In the heart of Tuscany, where the hills of Montalcino paint landscapes of extraordinary beauty, lies the Tenuta Luce. This winery is the result of a shared vision between two of the greatest wine families: Frescobaldi and Mondavi. A joint venture that has given rise to one of the most prestigious Supertuscans, a project that combines centuries-old Italian tradition with an innovative approach, capable of challenging and redefining the boundaries of taste.
The production philosophy of the Tenuta Luce is based on a perfect balance between respect for the land and winemaking experimentation. The hills of Montalcino, with their mineral-rich soils and temperate climate, provide the ideal stage for the cultivation of Sangiovese and Merlot grapes. These varieties, lovingly cared for and harvested at the peak of their ripeness, give life to wines that embody the very essence of Tuscany.
The flagship wine of the estate, "Luce", represents a perfect blend of power and elegance. A rich wine, capable of revealing with every sip complex layers of aromas and flavors, from the sweetness of ripe cherries to the spicy notes of tobacco and chocolate. Alongside it, "Lucente" offers an equally captivating experience, with a softer and more accessible profile, but no less intriguing, highlighting the versatility of Merlot.
On the palate, the wines of the Tenuta Luce present themselves as a sensory journey, a tale of passion and tradition that invites the discovery of an extraordinary wine world. Discover on Vino45 the labels signed by Tenuta Luce and let yourself be carried away by the magic of Montalcino, where every glass tells a story of excellence and innovation.

THE WINE
The Tuscany Red 'Lucente' from Tenuta Luce is the result of a careful selection of vineyards from the Tenuta, chosen for their particular suitability to produce a wine with a fruity profile and great pleasantness. Like 'Luce', it is born from the union of Sangiovese and Merlot, with the latter prevailing in the blend. A soft, rich, and fragrant Tuscan red, aged for 15 months in barriques. It exudes notes of dark fruit, jammy berries, and sweet spices. The sip is round, energetic, and seductive, possessing body and structure, with an elegant and velvety tannic texture.
THE ESTATE

Tenuta Luce extends southwest of Montalcino in the heart of the Natural Park of the Val d'Orcia, a rural landscape skillfully and aesthetically redesigned by man during the pre-Renaissance period and recognized in 2004 as an Intangible Cultural Heritage by UNESCO. It is in this extraordinary land, historically known for its high-quality wines, that the 249 hectares of Tenuta Luce are located. This unspoiled and sparsely populated environment is rich in biodiversity and includes a vast wooded area, olive trees, and 88 hectares of vineyards. The philosophy of Tenuta Luce is based on the idea that wine should be as natural an expression as possible of the place it is produced, as well as the specific characteristics of each grape variety, thus achieving a perfect balance between grape and terroir. Human intervention is quite limited and always non-invasive, aiming to protect this natural harmony. The wines of Tenuta Luce emerged in the early nineties from this unique terroir and philosophy, stemming from the meeting of two great wine figures, Vittorio Frescobaldi and Robert Mondavi. After choosing Montalcino, they combined their knowledge to distinctively pursue the potential of this terroir so suited to winemaking. Since 2004, when the partnership with Mondavi ended, Lamberto Frescobaldi has been at the helm of the Tenuta Luce project, supported by a dedicated team focused on perpetuating this vision.
