The Cognac 'XO' from Hennessy was born in 1870 along the Charente River. It is composed of more than a hundred eaux-de-vie (some dating back to the early last century) that come from the largest reserves of old Cognac in the world and are well-preserved in the cellars of Hennessy. This 'extra old' was created by Maurice Hennessy for his circle of friends, with the desire to produce something unique that had never existed before. The blend contains a selection of spirits aged between 12 and 30 years, providing unparalleled elegance, complexity, and robustness. Intense and profound, slightly spicy yet smooth with a long finish, it is capable of expressing all the complexity of a cognac from a long aging process.

Hennessy

In the lush Cognac region of France, there is a name that resonates like an ode to refinement and excellence: Hennessy. Since the distant 18th century, this prestigious house has distinguished itself in the global landscape of spirits, making its name synonymous with luxury and uncompromising quality. The story of Hennessy is a tale of passion and dedication intertwined with the most authentic traditions of the territory, where Ugni Blanc grapes find their noblest expression.
In the heart of Cognac, the unique terroir profoundly influences the grapes, giving the spirits an elegant structure and an unmistakable aromatic bouquet. The production philosophy of Hennessy is based on a perfect balance between tradition and innovation, using distillation methods that have stood the test of time while incorporating modern techniques to further enhance the quality of the final product.
Among the main labels of Hennessy, the VSOP and XO stand out, two icons that embody the art of French distillation. The VSOP is appreciated for its harmony and smoothness, with notes of delicate spices and dried fruit, while the XO represents the pinnacle of complexity, a sensory journey through aromas of cocoa, vanilla, and ripe fruits, unfolding with extraordinary persistence on the palate.

THE COGNAC
The Cognac 'XO' by Hennessy was born in 1870 along the Charente river. It is composed of more than a hundred eaux-de-vie (some dating back to the beginning of the last century) from the largest reserves of old Cognac in the world, resting well-preserved in the cellars of Hennessy. This 'extra old' was created by Maurice Hennessy for his circle of friends, wishing to produce something unique that had never existed before. The blend contains a selection of spirits aged between 12 and 30 years, providing unparalleled elegance, complexity, and robustness. THE DISTILLERY

The Maison Hennessy (Jas Hennessy & Co) is the largest producer of Cognac in the world, with an annual production of 50 million bottles, representing over 40% of the global market. The Hennessy distillery was founded in 1765 by the Irish officer naturalized French, Richard Hennessy, and is still managed by his direct descendants, now in the sixth generation of the family, represented by Maurice Hennessy; collaboration with the Moët & Chandon cellar has led, since the 1970s, to the prestigious Moët Hennessy group.
Hennessy, over the centuries, has become the symbol of cognac in the world, boasting a distinguished and prestigious tradition: among its most loyal admirers are personalities such as George IV of England, Empress Maria Feodorovna, and her son Tsar Alexander I. The maison Hennessy has made the French amber distillate famous worldwide and has contributed to establishing the production parameters, still followed and required by the regulations. The glorious centuries-old history of Hennessy continues to this day with its historic productions and other innovative interpretations, realized in highly sought-after special editions around the world.
The cognac Hennessy is a distilled wine made from Ugni Blanc grapes from the 4 Grand Cru: Grande Champagne, Petite Champagne, Bordieries, and Fins Bois. The production process involves the use of large copper stills, and aging times can vary from a minimum of 4 years to several decades (the most prestigious reserve dates back to 1800). This results in an unparalleled cognac, loved and celebrated in all latitudes.
