The Champagne Blanc de Noirs from Reine Dhuicq is soft and fresh. It originates in the Marne Valley in Verneuil, Olizy, Damery, and Romery on a chalky soil rich in clay and limestone from approximately 30-year-old Pinot Meunier vines. It is vinified for 2/3 in oak barrels and aged in the same barrels for 10 months; the remaining 1/3 is vinified and aged in steel tanks. The blending of the wine is done while maintaining the proportions. Notes of yellow berry fruits, peach, and apple, light floral hints of jasmine, yeast, and bread crust, with a slight spiciness and delicate oxidative notes on the finish. A soft and fresh taste, with a light and pleasant oxidation on the finish that contributes to excellent persistence and balance.

THE MAISON
The current owner Romain Tribaut was born into a family of winemakers since 1890. It all began with his great-grandfather Léon Tribaut (1930), who was already a winemaker in the villages of Romery and Cormoyeux in the Marne Valley, near Epernay, in Champagne. This vineyard was then taken over by Romain's grandfather, Roger Tribaut, in the 1930s, alongside his position as head of the vineyard for the Lanson House, and he combined his two activities for over 30 years. Romain's father, Michel Tribaut, succeeded Roger in the 1980s and expanded and developed the family farm. Romain decided to revive his grandfather's winemaking method and the Pinot Meunier grape, and for this project, he invested in a new temperature-controlled winery in Romery made of stainless steel and then purchased barrels from Burgundy where Chardonnay was vinified for over 2 years.
