Aged in oak casks and finished in ex-Sherry casks, it is not cold-filtered and contains no artificial coloring, presenting itself as an authentic single cask whisky with an expressive and refined character. It does not have an aggressive temperament: the fruity and sweet notes go hand in hand with a warm spiciness, a certain maritime touch, and a delicate whiff of peat smoke.

Duncan Taylor is located in Huntly, a small town in the north-east of Scotland rich in heritage and history. Battlehill has historical significance in the battle for the throne between Robert The Bruce and John Comyn, Earl of Buchan, one of the most powerful nobles in Scotland. The battle took place in December 1307 on a hill at Slioch in Huntly, now known as Battlehill. Battlehill is one of many historical monuments located in and around Huntly that holds particular significance in the history of Scotland. The Battlehill Scotch Whisky range consists of the finest single malt and single grain whiskies aged up to 55 years, distilled in some of the most prestigious distilleries in Scotland.
Duncan Taylor was born with the noble intent of selecting and bottling the best spirits in the world. Without compromising on quality, this company has been pursuing its project since its foundation in 1938, collecting whisky casks dating back to 1864. The founder, Abe Rosenberg, was indeed an American passionate and knowledgeable about Scottish whisky trade who moved to Glasgow and founded Duncan Taylor & Co. Here he continued selling but also began selecting the best whisky and single malt productions, quickly becoming a true reference point in the art of trade and selection. With over 4000 casks collected, Duncan Taylor remains an undisputed leader in the world of spirits to this day.
