Brandy

Brandy (Acquavite) is a generic term that could be assimilated to that of distillate. The brandy is obtained from the fermentation of whole grapes which includes must and pomace. Unlike grappa, brandy ages in small fine barriques or in stainless steel tanks and, at the time of bottling, it is diluted with water and then filtered. On the palate it is both more refined and fruity compared to the alcoholic hardness of grappa.
