Chablis 1er Cru 'Montmains Cuvée Vieilles Vignes' by Denis Race is a beautiful expression of the terroir of Burgundy, where Chardonnay reigns supreme. The oldest part of the 18 hectares of vineyards owned by the family, that of vines over 65 years of age, gives life to this Premier Cru with a structured and balanced body and a nose of great complexity. The wine spends a year in steel and, without the intervention of wood or selected yeasts, it evolves into a Chablis of great finesse, tension, pleasant freshness, savory minerality, precision and charm.

Domaine Denis Race has been located in the heart of Chablis for 4 generations and the 18 hectares of vineyards owned by the family - aged between 5 and 65 years - have their roots in clayey-limestone soils with a chalky substrate. Located halfway between Paris and Dijon, Chablis is the northernmost appellation of Burgundy, a terroir where Chardonnay reigns supreme in 4200 hectares spread over 20 municipalities on the sides of the Serein river. From 1979 to today, Denis, with his wife Laurence and daughter Claire, have built the style of the Domaine by declining the expressions of the vineyard in 4 cuvées: Petit Chablis, Village, 1er Cru and Grand Cru, for a total of 90,000 bottles. The wines are pure voice of the Chablis: finesse, tension, pleasant freshness, savory minerality, precision and charm.
