The 'Ferentano' of the Family Cotarella is made from roscetto grapes, a native Lazio grape variety typical of the Montefiascone area and the hilly regions adjacent to Lake Bolsena. A variety that takes its name from the color of the skin, which changes with the progression of ripening from green to yellow, and from yellow to pink. A distant relative of the greco, it is capable of producing a full-bodied wine with a rich range of aromatic and taste sensations. Vinified in steel and aged in barrique for about 4 months, it is a soft and refined white wine, with great balance and elegance.

In the suggestive crossroads between Lazio and Umbria, where tradition meets innovation, the Cotarella winery comes to life. Born from the creative flair of a family of world-renowned enologists, with Riccardo Cotarella at the helm, this winemaking reality has become a reference point for those seeking elegant and modern wines that can captivate the most discerning palates internationally.
Immersed in the lush hilly landscapes of these two Italian regions, Cotarella has managed to capture the essence of the territory, producing wines that celebrate the IGP Umbria and Lazio denominations. The grape varieties cultivated, from Grechetto to Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon, reflect a wise combination of local tradition and openness to the most appreciated international varieties. These grapes, nurtured with passion and respect for the environment, give rise to wines that stand out for their distinctive character and uncompromising quality.
Among the flagship labels of the winery, Montiano and Sodale rise as authentic expressions of the style signed by Cotarella. Montiano, with its complexity and aromatic depth, reveals a wine of great charm and structure, while Sodale enchants with its elegance and softness, representing a perfect balance between tradition and modernity.
