Japanese Single Malt Whiskey 'Akashi' 5 Years Old is made in the White Oak Distillery, founded in 1888 by Eigashima Shuzo. The distillery places on the market very limited quantities, and therefore highly sought after, of Whiskey because its stills work only for one month a year. This Single Malt, left to mature for 4 years in American oak barrels and for 12 months in Spanish ex-sherry barrels, is very elegant, warm and enveloping, pleasantly marked by a slight hint of smoke. Persistent. An unmissable whiskey.
The White Oak Distillery, founded in 1888 by Eigashima Shuzo, produced classic sakes until 1984 when it was expanded with the addition of algae for whiskey production. The distillery algae work only for one month per year so the amount of whiskey produced is always very small.
