'St. Daniel' Riserva by Colterenzio is produced using the historic vineyards on the hills between Ora and Montagna and is a perfect example of the great red wines of Alto Adige. The pure Pinot Nero grapes follow a short cool maceration and subsequent fermentation for 14 days. The wine is aged for 2/3 in large wooden barrels and 1/3 in barriques for 12 months. A year of maturation in the bottle follows. It stands out for the refined elegance that it can express, between notes of ripe red berries and a fine and delicate tannic texture. Balanced and of great harmony, with a medium and balanced body, and an elegant and persistent finish. Excellent with light appetizers, veal and poultry but also robust fish dishes.
