Sol Lui by La Scolca is a refined and visionary white wine, crafted from Sauvignon Blanc and native white Piedmontese grapes, grown exclusively in the family’s historic vineyards. A true “soloist”, it breaks conventions while fully embodying the elegance that has defined La Scolca for over a century. The production process combines cryomaceration, temperature-controlled stainless steel fermentation, and extended lees aging, resulting in remarkable complexity, freshness, and aromatic depth. The nose reveals ripe citrus, white flowers, aromatic herbs, and mineral nuances; the palate is velvety, vibrant, and long-lasting. Dedicated by Chiara Soldati to her mother Luisa—whose initials grace the label—this wine is a tribute to tradition and a bold step into the future. Perfect with seafood crudo, tartare, vegetable-based pasta, fresh cheeses, and fusion cuisine.

Color: pale straw yellow, with greenish reflections that emphasize its youth and freshness. The clarity is impeccable, with a brilliant transparency that anticipates a vibrant and clean sip.
Bouquet: harmonious and well-defined, it opens with a delicate fruitiness that recalls green apple, Williams pear and white peach, accompanied by nuances of citrus fruits such as lime and grapefruit. These are intertwined with elegant hints of aromatic herbs, including sage, lemon thyme and a touch of lemon balm. The bouquet is completed with a fresh floral imprint (hawthorn, wild flowers) and a subtle minerality in the background.
Taste: full and soft on the palate, with a round and caressing entrance that evolves into a well-calibrated freshness. The delicate vegetal notes recall fresh almond and cucumber peel, blending with saline accents and slight references to dry hay. The structure is balanced, supported by a good persistence and a savoury and citrusy trail on the finish that gives dynamism and invites you to taste it again.
