Sauvignon of the prestigious 'Lafòa' line by Colterenzio is a white wine of rich and elegant value, a true excellence of the Alps. It comes from the grapes of the same name used in purity, grown in a vineyard that gives wines of unmistakable character, with an important structure and a marked class. Fresh and floral this Sauvignon blanc is a young wine with an ancient soul. The Sauvignon grapes are subjected to a delicate pressing and half of the must obtained is fermented in steel tanks, the other half is refined in barriques. After 8 months on the fine lees the wine is assembled and bottled with care. Intense fruity notes on the nose that recall elderberry, acacia flowers and sage linked by elegant hints of wood. A wine with tasty acidity and a long finish.

Colterenzio
In the enchanting setting of Trentino-Alto Adige, where the mountains touch the sky and the climate is the perfect ally of viticulture, lies the Colterenzio winery. A name that embodies the strength and passion of a one-of-a-kind cooperative, capable of uniting local winemakers under the aegis of quality and respect for the territory. Here, among the vineyards that climb the slopes of the Alps, wines come to life, telling stories of tradition and innovation.
Colterenzio stands out in the winemaking panorama of Alto Adige for its ability to enhance the climatic and varietal peculiarities of the area, producing wines that faithfully reflect the identity of the territory. The winery pays particular attention to native and international grapes, such as the refined Gewürztraminer, the vibrant Sauvignon and the elegant Pinot Noir, each grown with obsessive attention to detail.
Among the most celebrated labels, Pinot Noir and Sauvignon stand out, two wines that perfectly embody the spirit of Colterenzio. Pinot Noir stands out for its refined structure and aromatic bouquet that ranges from berries to delicate spicy notes, while Sauvignon surprises with its intense aromas of citrus and white flowers, accompanied by an exceptional freshness on the palate.

CLASSIC RANGE
Lafóa: from a pilot vineyard to excellent wines
Lafóa is a byword for the beginning of the Alto Adige quality initiative and the pioneering work of the Cantina Colterenzio in the 1980s. At the time, the wine pioneer Luis Raifer not only planted new grape varieties on his vineyard named Lafóa, but at the same time introduced new quality standards: less yield for better grapes and better wines. It was exactly on this pilot vineyard that the “Lafóa idea” was born: the introduction of new quality standards that until this very day meet with the winegrowers and staff of Cantina Colterenzio. Lafóa stands for full-bodied white and red wines that are nonetheless very elegant and have great aging potential.
