Duncan Taylor's Blended Malt Scotch Whiskey 'Drumblade' 2011 10 Years is part of the 'Battlehill' line which is made up of the best whiskeys aged up to 55 years and distilled in some of Scotland's most prestigious distilleries. For the Drumblade it is not specified which distilleries contributed their distillates to the blend. It presents itself as a quality product of the most genuine kind possible. Duncan Taylor has given up on both cold filtration and coloring. He spent 10 years in a sherry cask. He looks like a young man with enormous potential, he is an excellent investment. Both on the nose and on the palate it is rich and round, harmonious. It is perceived primarily as fruity with notes of sherry and a sweet undertone, a hint of spice.

THE DISTILLERY
To commemorate one of the most important landmarks found in the town of Huntly, Duncan Taylor has released the Battlehill range of Scotland’s finest distilled spirit. Duncan Taylor is located in Huntly, a small town in North East Scotland that is rich in heritage and steeped in history. Battlehill holds a historical significance in the battle for the throne between Robert The Bruce and John Comyn, Earl of Buchan, who was one of the most powerful nobles in Scotland. The battle took place in December 1307 on a hill at Slioch in Huntly, now known as Battlehill. Battlehill is one of many historical landmarks situated in and around Huntly that holds a particular significance in the history of Scotland. The Battlehill Scotch Whisky range consists of the finest single malt and single grain whiskies aged up to 55 years old, distilled at some of Scotland’s most premium distilleries.
Duncan Taylor was created with the noble intention of selecting and bottling the best spirits in the world. Without compromising on quality, this company has been pursuing its project since its foundation in 1938, collecting whiskey barrels dating back as far as 1864. The founder, Abe Rosenberg, was in fact an American passionate and expert in the Scottish whiskey trade who moved to Glasgow and founded Duncan Taylor & Co. Here he continued the sale but also began to select the best whiskey and single malts productions, very soon becoming a real point of reference in the art of trade and selection. With over 4000 casks collected, Duncan Taylor is still the undisputed leader in the spirit world today.
